We have a series … and Canada’s Team is in trouble

Boston is winning this final, one game to two.
They were that dominant in Game 3.
8-1 is a whuppin’.
On Cam Neely’s birthday, all the Bruins played like no. 8.
Tim Thomas is in the Canucks’ heads. He made 40 saves … and got a hit on Henrik Sedin.
Roberto Luongo was beaten EIGHT times.
Three in the final two minutes.
That’s pathetic.
The Bruins’ PK was perfect on the night and scored two shorties.
Vancouver’s PP is 1-for-16 in the series.
Boston’s PP scored twice.
A dozen Bruins on the scoresheet … and Nathan Horton was knocked out of the game.
It ended with both benches depleted by the predictable idiocy that occurs in laughers.
Why the heck did Alain Vigneault leave Luongo in for eight goals?
Great Tweet from Tony Marinaro: When was the last time a team that won The Stanley Cup suffered 3 humiliating losses like Vancouver? 5-0 & 7-2 vs Chicago and 8-1 vs Boston.

Compare it to Ference’s hit on Halpern, which was more obviously interference and more obviously a hit targeting the head, and you will see that something stinks in the NHL.

Lucic as tough guy … I will never forget the night he turned into a speed skater when Laraque started whispering into his ear at the Molson Center. Now, THERE was a guy who learned his way around the rink in Montréal in a big-league hurry :

    – ‘Yes Sir Mr Laraque – Right Away Mr Laraque
    – the visitors bench is right HERE Mr Laraque !’

Milan Lucic, the speed-skating pride of east-Vancouver and Boston … bringing class to the world of professional sport and the NHL, 2 fingers at a time :

When his finally arrives, and it will, it is going to be a bee-yute-ee-ful thing 😉

What a joke 4 games for a legal hit, late hit but legal. There is a stink bomb in nhl and it,s in front office, campbell and company. Suddendly Campbell decides to retire from front office as soon as the bruins are in cup final. Chara hit Max Pax lets review late hit well after the play , no suspension. Lucic on Spacek , late hit no puck , no suspension. Ferrence on Helpen no puck well after play, late hit no ssupension. Marchand on Wozinski should i say anymore, no suspension, and finally regular season Campbell with Tom Pyatt, elbow pads hitting Pyatt no suspension, see a pattern here.NO SUSPENSIONS FOR BOSTON and last nite Chara , Lucic going after Burrows into boards not even a penalty.Gutless teams the bruins.Reminds me of Philly hockey in 1970, gutless..

Fairynce deliberately blindsided Halpern and obviously targeted the head…no suspension. I could throw up thinking about it.

Let’s hope that Brendan Shannahan pulls it together somehow. One thing is for sure; he can not possibly be worse

I missed the end of the game last night and I was wondering if someone could help me out with a question I have.
Now, I know Mr. Cherry was all over Les Habs for thumping the Wild earlier in the season. I remember him talking about karma and stuff. And I’ve heard him comment before when teams run up the score at the end of a game. Stuff like what goes around comes around and paybacks are a bi!$# and all that.
So I was wondering whether or not Mr. Cherry opened his fat cake hole after Boston scored three goals in the last couple of minutes last night?
I mean, he must have said something….right?

WHAT A FRACKING JOKE!!! LUCIC DOES WAY WORSE, CHARA pushes someone in the stanchion…

Rome does a late, but otherwise LEGAL hit, and this is how the fucking nhl answers.
What a shit governing body, and im sure most journalist will show “integrity” by saying there was reason, and its a good call.

Ohh yeah, you get paid by the business you write about, conflict of interest worse than daddy Campbell.

With all my heart i hope Cannucks win more than ever because the league is clearly trying to give it to the bruins.

    This is disgusting!

when all think alike, no one is thinking very much

“Rome does a late, but otherwise LEGAL hit, and this is how the fucking nhl answers.”
You gotta be fucking kiddin me! You should watch the hit before making comments like this. And, while you’re at it, tell me how it was legal pertaining to the leagues head shot rule:

The rule prohibits “lateral, back-pressure or blindside hit to an opponent where the head is targeted and/or the principal point of contact.”

It wasn’t not legal because it was late, as in your words, but because it targeted the head.

And while you’re at all the whining, don’t forget that we’ve had a number of players get concussions this year as well…

Stop making yourself look stupid, take my advice.

      • AK_PK_Usay says:

Im not a bruins fan, already on the right track of not being an idiot…

And when you’re done crying, dont forget Dr Rechi can nurse Horton back to health.

        • D Mex says:

So, does this means Doctor Recchi has already approved the diagnosis from Massachusetts General Hospital ?
I thought it would take a while longer for them to get the test results over for him to look at …

I have to chuckle at the big bad mono syllabic (this means one syllable) words that the boston moron is able to spell. Bruins hockey is embarrassing by definition.

It wasn’t lateral or back pressure or blindside! It was a north south hit! And he hit his head on the ice…Rome did not target the head!

Either you don’t understand English or you have had a few hits to the head yourself…probably trying to get it back out of your arse.

Boston Rob..how original. Did you feel guilty after hitting the submit button? Chara broke MaxPac’s neck after ramming his head into the stanchon. Was that a suspendable hit? Ferrence looked right at Halpern knew he wasn’t ready and planted his shoulder squarley in his face. C’mon Boston Rob take the bear shit out your eyes. Horton had his head down in open ice after just passing the puck..and in Canada that’s a no no. Horton knows this and I’m sure he is feeling shame as I type. The hit was a touch late but after the precedent the NHL has set over the last 2 seasons..game misconduct yes..suspension..no. I see you are trying to Americanize this site with refrences from your Gary Bettman rule book….stop it.

Beautiful hit. Just hope that Boston management didn’t instruct the team Doctor to inflate the extent of Horton’s injuries so that Rome would get a longer suspension.
Dr. Recchi might know something about that.

        GO ABB…

  7. Sal says:

The only guy other than Horton, that would have made me happier, to see lying on the ice out cold, is Lucic, the sucker punch king of hockey. I used to say I wish he was a Hab, now I sincerely wish some one would sucker punch his head right out of hockey. Sorry, it’s how I feel.

In my 57 years of watching hockey, I have never been wittness to such a travesty of a hockey playoffs. If I wasn’t so addicted to the game, and, there was something else to watch, I would tune the thing out entirely. CBC SUCKS!! National broadcast with a bias, nice work!

Bruins have gotten away with so many suspendable hits and actions in these playoffs, that their very presence inthe SCF is tainted, and, should be marked forever with an asterix. Neopotism, cronyism, inside job politics. Congrats on making it the old fashioned way, goon hockey, sanctioned by the Nascar mindset. Go to a hockey game, hoping to see a car crash!! The NHL, is now officially run to appeal to this mindset, and, it is reaping the rewards. Let’s not leave out the HNLPA, that has remained totally silent, while their players are dropping like flies. If the players are just replaceable assets then Horton is just another causualty of war. Sweep him off the ice, replace him, and move on.

Bruins, no class team, just like their fans.

    GO NUCKS!!!

    • D Mex says:

I hesitate to use the wide brush, but the mindset you refer to is the stereotypical NE understanding of hockey. Then again, let’s not forget that this is Buttman’s dream audience, so his ” vision ” for the league includes catering to the lowest common denominator (see ‘ stereotypical ‘ above …)

This is particularly so in Boston where, evidently, tv broadcasts must include the requisite ” Tale of the Tape ” visuals and ” ding ding ” audio associated with broadcasts of prize fights. These special effects are standard fare on every hockey broadcast coming out of that place. What goes around …

    Boone, Boone, Boone…
I watched the game last night start to finish. The Bruins were not dominant. The were lucky to get the first 2 goals and that gave them much needed momentum. Canucks, like a few other games, had a very mediocre 2nd period. Once again, if not for some timely saves by TT in the first period, Vancouver would’ve taken this one too.

In the third, being down 4 goals, Vancouver were playing out the time and already looking to game 4, including Lou.

If it weren’t for Thomas, the B’s wouldn’t even be here. Bruins are an average team with clutch goaltending. Dominant? No.
Even the first two 1-goal losses could’ve been much worse if not for TT. Vancouver has grit, skill, and good goaltending – a Stanley Cup winning combination.

Vancouver will bounce back in game 4. Last night was an aberration. Canucks in 5…still.

  9. smiler2729 says:

The NHL nutjobs suspend Aaron Rome 4 games in the Stanley Cup final for his hit on Horty (another great nickname by the Bruin moron faithful)…

So I’m to understand that Horton’s concussion is worth more than Pacioretty’s concussion and broken neck???

Is this a Boston Bruins league or what!
