  2. amped says:

    That was well done.

  3. Bobby Ward says:

Hey TONY242 – The Getzlaf/Ryan skit was NOT on during the playoffs – It
premiered last night at the NHL Awards in Vegas. I should know! I
produced the awards and wrote the skit myself!

  4. the_larry says:

Because he has no personality and no one likes him and he would’ve ruined that entire skit..

  5. Willy the bum says:

    He’s no Brad Pitt.

  6. Habs-Fan says:

Wonder why they didn’t fit Corry Perry into the skit?

  7. NightRyder says:

Pavelski deal is a good one.

  8. Chorske says:

Bobby Ryan actually looks like the dude from The Office

  9. habitual says:

    Ryan is a good sport.

  10. HardHabits says:

Words that rhyme with Duck –> “aww <expletive deleted>” LMAO

  11. Les-Habitants says:

    He’s worth a qualifying offer

  12. Les-Habitants says:

That was actually well done! Wow, good job NHL…turning a leaf, hopefully.  This, the bruins commericals, and “history will be made” are all very solid

  13. twocents says:

    Very funny.

  15. oshawahabsfan says:

Nice skit, Neidermyer the silent assassin

  16. SmartDog says:

    This IS actually pretty funny.

Listen to the SmartDog. He knows his poop.

  17. likehoy says:

so patrick marleau signs a 4 year deal with 6.9/year and pavelski 4 year 4 mil per year.

good thing we got pleky at 5 million cause there is no way we could have afforded marleau at 6.9m and even then, he was going to be taken off the table.

the UFA market has shrunk even more

  18. Propwash says:

    That was well done!

Goalies in Montreal have two roles, netminder and scapegoat.

  21. TorontoHabsFan says:

Wow, good thing Gauthier signed Plekanec when he did – had he waited until after Marleau signed the price would have surely gone up.

  22. crabvader says:

    And vice-versa.

  24. crabvader says:

Stan Bowman isn’t wasting any time. He’s pulling off some good moves and keeping some key staff.

Let’s face it, Byfuglien was a powerhouse during the playoffs but more than a non-factor during the regular season.

He was expendable. Why lose Sharp, who is an asset during the season AND playoffs or Versteeg for that matter? He also unloads more salary with the dump of Eager and Sopel. I like Eager, but they have Adam Burish who comes cheaper and does almost the same job.

Bowman made the right decision. He also picks up two draft picks in the deal and one in the 1st round. Sure, it’s only a 24th overall pick, but I mean… we don’t have one that high. 😛

Chicago also dealt away Colin Fraser to the Edmonton Oilers for a 6th rounder.

Take a page out of the ol’ Bowman book, PG. Everyone is tradeable. (That means you, Titties!)

  25. Harani says:

RDS reports that Habs have submitted qualifying offers to Sergei Kostitsyn, Maxim Lapierre, Carey Price and Tom Pyatt.

  26. crabvader says:

I’m blown away by the contract offer to Sergei… I mean unless they are tying him up to trade him away for better market value… I just don’t get it.

If this kid’s act has drastically changed behind the scenes… I mean I’m all for it because he is extremely talented… I just don’t see how you can go from being one of the biggest babies in the NHL to devoted to your team (that you publicaly called out) overnight.

VERY happy about Price and Pyatt getting offers and hoping Lapierre keeps playing the way he did during the playoffs to deserve his contract.

  27. otter649 says:

Do not watch as much NHL Playoff Games as you I guess…………(lol)
