Video: Cammalleri, Pacioretty pre-Canucks

Two quick 1080p video clips, featuring comments from Canadiens forwards Michael Cammalleri and Max Pacioretty, before tonight’s game at Rogers Arena vs. the Vancouver Canucks.

The home team’s blue line is beefed up with the return from injury of Dan Hamhuis and Keith Ballard. It’s Carey Price vs. Roberto Luongo in the nets.

Expect Tom Pyatt and Alexandre Picard to be scratched tonight by Habs head coach Jacques Martin.

FBJK I agree with. What makes you say he’s care free?

Bobby Ryan is one of the best forwards out there.

He’s never lead the play offs in goal scoring well cause he’s only 23 and has been in like 13 games career in the post season.

    You’re making baseless accusations.

  2. Rainrocket16 says:

I live in Cali, believe me Hockey is not taking off, not with Anaheim that is. LA is getting better, SJ is a joke Anaheim is now getting a little better. Bet for the most part hockey is taken off the map!!

  3. scrowe21 says:

Cammy for Kessel? Just kidding.. saw someone post that earlier though.

  4. fbkj says:

ryan is coveted by every team in the league

    cammy, is not

ill agree that there are tons of players who can’t cut it here, the ones that come to mind are nothing like ryan

you are aware that the rumour is cammy and a package for ryan right, not a swap… and even then most say anaheim would be stupid to make this trade…

i love cammy, but you are clearly placing too much value on him and too little on ryan

  5. oshawahabsfan says:

No not at all, but you have to admit, there are tons of players who can cut it here and tons who can’t. Cammy clearly loves it so why would you want to get rid of him. Part of the pro scouts job is to see those other intagibles that go beyond points. Yes Ryan’s numbers are nice but what happens if they trade Cammy, someone who clearly can show up in the playoffs, plus other players or picks for one player with little playoff experience who might turn into a dud here. Sounds like way too much risk to me

  6. Psycho29 says:

I think Gary Bettman put them up to this….

  7. Nine1one says:

I really don’t see your point. Hockey in cali is begining to take off. Whether theres pressure or not I don’t see why that matters. That just questioning things that you don’t know.

  8. oshawahabsfan says:

He has beef and a sniper on his line, unfortunately the bull is a Kostitsyn

  9. fbkj says:

    whoopdydoo

    hes not from there

and even if he was, there were californians drafted in the first round this years draft, not understanding your point

  10. oshawahabsfan says:

Our scouts have been everywhere lately, so who knows

  11. fbkj says:

actually i shouldnt have listed gill because he played in boston, toronto and pittsburgh, k thats pressure my bad

so are you of the mindset that calgary was stupid for aquiring cammy because he came from a non pressure market?

  12. habstrinifan says:

    Maybe it was the beer!

  13. oshawahabsfan says:

    Haha touche

  14. habsguy says:

well you sure called that one !!!!!!…time to take your head out of your a$$

  15. kmachabs27 says:

its funny to see what we can do when we actually skate….canucks didnt know what hit them the first 10 minutes….maybe its our home jerseys?

  16. fbkj says:

how am i not giving him enough credit?

love the guy, cheer for him the loudest out of all of the players during the intro to everygame ive been to this season, girlfriend has a cammy jersey that i bought for her

because im spelling out reality, that ryan is a better asset than cammalleri is not meant to slight him, its just fact

  17. Rainrocket16 says:

Ok now your no longer aloud to speak on here!!

  18. novahab says:

Now after our Habs get slapped around by Vancouver and there are 6 points gone what will PG do. The Flyers and Bruins did not wait but yet this team is going down fast and not a word. I would think the players expected a little help heading out on this trip after seeing their enemies get stronger. maybe the players said f%$& it if management is going to sit on their hands why kill ourself trying. I have to say those two game were a complete late of effort. Why is Eller still up with this team he needs to go to the Dogs this kid is hurting big time. This team needs Roy ,JM is a yes man and he never going to say boo to anyone.

  19. fbkj says:

good, quit bettin against us you gawd dayumed unkle tom

  20. Storm Man says:

Wow… Must be sandbox hour right now… Best joke of the day someone on here calling Ryan a bum… Hockey is something you don’t understand try tennis. Game time is near :) and Mr. Habs did not bet with me:(.

  21. Nine1one says:

Lol why cause I think the D on anaheim would look nice with Subban? Just saying ours would look better with Fowler ;)

I wouldn’t want to give away subban though.

  22. observer says:

I disagree there may be an offer for Gorges driving up his cost as well. Hamrlick, Gill, Markov, Wiz on top of RFA Gorges, those 4 are all UFA. Markov at $5.5 million how much do you pay him off 3 injuries? I think much lower and then he will try to get the best offer. I dont want Hamrlick back, don’t think anyone does especially art his age and current price. Habs stuck with $3.8 million and old Spacek – what are they supposed to do go out and completely replace the defense around Subban? This team needs scorers with size as well. Yes I would sign Gorges now and get a better price than wait and put the power in his RFA hands like they did with Price. Gauthier and Gainey are not sharp guys in the way the game is played by younger men today.

  23. fbkj says:

you can thank the magic skates

Anyone looking for a hockey painting to hang in their basement or rec room???

    I must be missing something….or I need better drugs…

  25. scrowe21 says:

I found this kind of interesting coming from Bob McKenzie :

Los Angeles has plenty of draft picks and young prospects in Manchester but if the Kings are to part with Brayden Schennor, and this is a real long shot, Wayne Simmonds, it’s going to take an astronomical contract player coming back. Personally, I would be leery of any Kings’ trade rumor involving Simmonds or any other young, core player on the Kings’ roster.”

I was hoping MTL could try to add Simmonds, but I didn’t think he would be overly expensive trade wise.. Its not like he is putting up big numbers.. meh

  26. adamkennelly says:

Cammy is pissed because he plays on a team that enables opponents to knock him around whenever they want.  Its very difficult for him to be as successful as he would like to be and is capable of being when he is not “protected” by being surrounded by other very skilled players and some size.

He can’t be the “best player” on the ice…makes for a great 2nd best player….

He’s prolly tired of being hurt too.

  27. HABS_FAN_NS says:

Good Start boys . Its good to see they aren’t allowing the Canucks to push them around. Quite the contrary actually. Keep it up for the rest of the game and we’ve got this one

  28. Bill J says:

trust me – that’s as subtle as you can get on the net, and why you still come here despite not having missed them. + the QUITE clear love of the TML & it’s GM  Burke…   Why the hell do you come here.

Is your life so void, that you come to a Habs side to dump on the team, while trying to pretend to be a fan of the team in question ?  This makes you feel happy ?    Really ???

    Dude go find a hobby!

  29. fbkj says:

speaking of hedging bets, observer just planted his right to be just as miserable regardless of outcome

    well done

  30. LA Loyalist says:

Ducks really need a serious goalie with Hiller’s head spinning like Linda Blair. Here’s the plan: we package up Halak, Domenic Moore, Sergei Kostitsyn and Andrei Kostitsyn for Bobby Ryan and maybe a pick.

    There, was that so difficult?

What? We did what? Are you sh*t*n* me? For who?

That’s the last time I let someone borrow my online identity.

  31. Paulin98C says:

Fire PG and BG! 88 points! 5 years! Mara! Ribeiro….. :P I find it entertaining to read your posts. over and over again.

  32. fbkj says:

you are the sh[tiest better in the world bro lol

  33. observer says:

Re: “Ducks really need a serious goalie with Hiller’s head spinning like Linda Blair” —— Shouldn’t affect them much as they’ve already had the devil himself there as their GM before they exorcised him.

  34. observer says:

Burke is good but there is no need to say he’s that level …. yet.

  35. habstrinifan says:

Cammy’s interview… talk about biting your lip/tongue so you wont say what’s on your mind.

Interviewer, “Coach Martin was saying….. “.
Cammy biting lip really hard “OK… blah blah blah blah.”

  36. Paulin98C says:

We (navy) have a flare for those things :)

  37. observer says:

Wizniewski is an unsigned free agent at $3.2 who will want more next year. There goes another #2 for a player who lasted less than a season here.

  38. Adam says:

Because what this team needs is a trade for the sake of a trade.

If there’s nothing on the table, there’s nothing on a table. Trading for the sake of shaking things up is how you end up screwing things over for five years instead of one.

  39. LA Loyalist says:

Serious, you are the best poster on here and I read everything you write, BUT that was a JOKE, as in Humor.

I’m making fun of my old cranky self (as opposed to my new cranky self) trying to make light of our dire circumstances. I’m not even claiming it was funny.

i have no complaints about Halpern, great move. Just felt bad about Moore. My kid was at his hockey camp a couple of days after he signed with Tampa and Moore didn’t tell the kids. He was still wearing his Habs gloves and baseball cap and it was pretty sad, if you want to know the truth.

Cammalari was there too, but he didn’t really interact with the kids they were doing their own training.

That’s life in the NHL, I know.

Keep up the great work. You are the voice of sanity (not that I’m any expert).

  40. Rainrocket16 says:

I love Roy too much to see him coach the Habs!

  41. LA Loyalist says:

There’s is still a big cut out poster of Cammi at the practice rink where my kid plays.

  42. Storm Man says:

Hey I bet to win:)… I lost over 1500 to my Alberta friends the past 2 games…. I have a uncle Tom in Montreal.

  43. The Cat says:

Canadiens are 1-10 in the last 11 meetings in Vancouver.

[Disclaimer]: I’m a hockey fan. I care about the habs, but probably not as much as you.

  44. LA Loyalist says:

Would he play for California Golden Seals? They had special skates.

  45. CanadienBoy says:

The WIZ -18 last years and early this year, is only -2 after 21 games as a Habs. The only two players to trade are AK and at all cost Gomez -18 because they don’t care anymore as well ours small player’s need support regardless of what GM and co think they are already worn out fighting back bigger guys all the times

  46. fbkj says:

ouch lol, k your allowed to hedge your bets

  47. gloveside says:

We already missed the boat on Stewart and Neal.

  48. observer says:

Worse! What happens if Habs beat them? They have won 3 of the last 4 meetings with Vancouver. And if they do beat them Gauthier will just “stand pat.”

  49. Harditya_CareyPrice says:

    Price : US $1,000,000.00

    WHAT???

  52. fbkj says:

you lie like a cheap toupee, the golden seals wore whatever skates management provided them

  53. Rainrocket16 says:

I gotta tell you, I was at work today and kept checking in time to time on here…All you who have been bashing Cammy today should be ashamed of yourselves and take a step back from blogging on here because you are doing no good to this site or the CH!!! Adamkennelly’s post said it all! Cammy like all the other Habs on this team cannot reach their full potential due to the fact that they have no protection from bigger opponents. A great example was when Cammy went down in the Buffalo game from behind and no one countered for him! No one on this roster other than BP and TM are take no crap kind of players…PG needs to get size or an enforcer with skills and protect these little guys or we will be playing golf a little early this year!

Cammy has been a proud member of this team since he got here, kind of sad when people are talking about who and what we can get from Bobby Ryan!! I say F’ him, he aint a Hab (yet anyways). If Cammy goes, there goes our biggest threat on the PP and anywhere outside the hash marks..

I am not saying that Cammy can’t or won’t be traded, but to just wish him away for someone else so quickly is really disrespectful! Cammy aint no BUM!!

  54. observer says:

    You are 100% correct.

  55. LA Loyalist says:

Thank you. But what is advantage to PG/BG in waiting? What am I missing here? You want to avoid a bidding situation, no? How can that strategy make the price lower? By making the player feel insecure? What is this, kindergarten?

In general, the non-negotiating policy during the season made sense when the players made their own deals, but now with agents and lawyers handling it, that seems out of date.

As for Wiz, the way he padded up for the game on Sunday after that head shot? Cut the crap, sign him up, we need his balls.

  58. LA Loyalist says:
