Canadiens coach Bob Gainey confirmed today that he’ll use Patrice Brisebois on defence in Game 1, counting on his experience, but that Yannick Weber is making the trip and might be inserted as early as Saturday. Might be.

Gainey said only the players he could use in game action would be on this afternoon’s charter flight to Boston, meaning Ryan O’Byrne and Weber. The status of Sergei Kostitsyn remains unclear, and Andrei Markov has not yet skated, at least in front of the eyes of the media.
