Tinordi in lineup, Weber out for Jets game

Jarred Tinordi, called up from the AHL on Wednesday, will be in the lineup Thursday night when the Canadiens face the Jets in Winnipeg (8 p.m., TSN-HABS, RDS, TSN Radio 690).

After Thursday’s morning skate, Michel Therrien told reporters that Yannick Weber will be a healthy scratch to make room for the 6-foot-6, 205-pound Tinordi. The coach added that Gabriel Dumont could replace Jeff Halpern in the lineup, but that it would be a game-time decision.

Carey Price will start in goal.

“I think I’ll be playing with Frankie (Bouillon),” Tinordi told reporters after the morning skate. “We’ve played together before so it should go well tonight.”

The players missing from the optional morning skate were Max Pacioretty, Brian Gionta, Michael Ryder, Rene Bourque, Brandon Prust and David Desharnais.

The Habs are goig nowhere in the playoffs playing like they are. I wish they would have tanked and got a high 1st round pick. This is a great year as there are 10-12 studs in the 1st. This team lacks grit and character and a steady goalie. Price is paid like a superstar but is worse than Nabokov or Vokoun. The Price/Budaj tandem now seems like a scary combo to enter the playoffs with. That Reimer sure looks unbeatable. The Habs have never had that kind of goalkeeping from Price EVER.

Who thinks Dietz will be a better nhl Dman than Tinordi and Pateryn and maybe as good or better than Beaulieu? His second half stats are just unbelievable.
I think in the short term, aka for next season, the team should go after a rugged defenseman…but a good one, not another Drewiske. I don´t think Tinordi will be ready to handle full time duty yet.
The only thing is, doing that will create a logjam with the up and coming prospects. Maybe going after a veteran/ rental is a goo d choice here.

    Good move with TINORDI,
now get either GORGES or DIAZ out and insert DREW…

and while your at it, MOEN & WHITE in for DD and BOURQUE,
