Thanksgiving break

The Canadiens are off until Tuesday morning, when they’ll practice in Brossard at 11:30.

To fill in the hours, check out Mike Cammalleri’s stick magic.

Don Cherry praises Carey Price, gets on “P.K. or whatever’s his name” and asserts that Mike Comrie did the right thing by sticking him. What a schmuck!

are we leading the league in penalties yet?

Sorry, perhaps I could have replied in a bit more nicely.

was mentioned a few times on RDS last night, I assumed it was discussed on the English broadcasts as well.

I wouldn’t have asked the question if i wasn’t serious. This happened 6 months ago, i’m sorry i don’t have the perfect memory like you.

CBC has a habit of hiring hacks? I’m pretty sure it’s their official policy.

Accidental collision in playofffs that led to Staal’s foot being cut and the reason he’s still out of the action. That and not being a nice guy and letting Crosby walk around in MTL’s zone and do whatever he likes during the series as well. Basically, for an accident, not being nice to the crybaby while being way better than any D PIT had in that series.

    You’re kidding right ?

Do you know why Jordan Staal is injured ?

Can anyone explain to me why the pittsburgh fans were booing PK from the very beginning if the game? Is there something that happened in the playoff series that happened that i;m not remembering?

Unfortunately you may be right. I think Sutter would trade him but higher-ups wont allow it.

Wow is cherry ever an idiot. So what if subban is getting in other players faces? PK is showing some pushback and that he won’t be intimidated. If he was a leaf, cherry would be saying how great he is and too keep it up.

Fleury’s late-game play emulated that of Marty Brodeur in Game 7 of the 2009 East quarterfinals against Carolina.

    Cherry’s callin’ out PK.

Cherry’s callin’ out PK for the same reason he called out Mario Lemieux, the 2nd most skilled NHLer of the modern era. See, Don doesn’t like players who don’t listen. You know, guys who have it so figured out, so early on, there’s just no tellin’ ‘em what to do. As it was with Lemieux, and the troubled and diminutive Theo Fleury, who Cherry similarly “warned” when the latter first played like a bat out of hell, Don will once again look stoopid.

Superstars in their time and Don Cherry crapped on them when they started out, cuz they didn’t play by his rulez. Frustrated ol’ closeted one, he is. And the show will go on. Get yer tickets here, folks.

Sux to be MAF this mornin’. Sux to singlehandedly lose a game you were ostensibly winnin’, with only a couple of minutes to go. A fan’s nightmare. Think about it for a sec. Brand spankin’ new buildin’, a first-game loss followed by a redemption-slash-meltdown in game two, this after Super Mario emptied a glass of water at center ice ‘n’ s***?

Think the Pens are crappin’ the bed because the glass of water schtick was so lame. For all the team knows, Mario was symbolically pourin’ Sid’s tears on the ice. Mario shoulda had a hockey stick laser gun. And Jagr shoulda been there with his own hockey stick laser gun. Hockey stick laser gun for Sid, too, cause he’s earned it. And they should shot some stuff, I don’t know, some cool s*** or sumpin’. I haven’t really thought this one through.

    The Habs pushed back.

Gomer and Gio still findin’ their legs. Cammy had them on before even hittin’ the ice. What a competitor. The grinders ground. And they ground real good.

Andy, the notoriously slow starter, used his skill set more effectively last night. Benny finished his checks. At this point, they’re both contributin’. It’s gonna come down to consistency. At least the Habs have Eller in reserve.

Spacecake looked less spacecakish. OB, you gotta play way smarter than you look, dude.

    Price robbed.

    Sid & Geno sobbed.

Bryz is still in his prime years, I didn’t think he would take a step back, I more suspected the Coyotes wouldn’t maybe play with the same desperation level that they did last season to try and save the franchise and pull off another 14 wins via SO.
