Very poor coaching!!! We were very much unprepared to compete at
all tonight. This is the worst two games of hockey this year. We had
one good period last night. Tonight garbage hockey, and you cant blame
it all on the tender.
Now we are going to get pushed around the rest of the night. I have not been this po ed in a very long time.
I blame the coaching for not having this team ready to compete. They better get it turned around or this is going to get ugly.

I never said I liked the effort from the Habs tonight, just noting you weren’t around for the 3Ws, just the loss as any predictable griper is and ignore the good, while going on and on about how the losses are what it’s all about when the team boasts a winning record good enough to be leading their division and a Top 10 team in the league.
You percieve the rivalry to be something that it hasn’t been for decades. They’re a non-competing franchise, haven’t seen the Cup Finals since 17 years before I was born. The fans regard it as a rivalry but you can see it in the play of the Canadiens that they’re not considering this their SCF. They don’t view Toronto as this age-old rival, they see them for what they are, a team struggling for relevance and weak history for over 4 decades.
The team gets up to play against the teams that are true rivals, the ones they compete with for Conference supremacy, not a pretender team full of itself.

What’s your excuse that we are first in our division and 5th over all? You can’t give a straight answer. We sucked plain and simple last night. The fact that we have already beaten a number playoff teams,some quite handily,proves we can skate with the best teams in the league. Funny how now you consider the leafs pathetic after saying for years they were going to overtake not only us,but the east in general. Lame would be countering a fact filled post with a post based on”what if’s” and somehow being expected to be taken seriously. Lame would also be hoping the team fails in order to make you feel better about yourself. Bitter much?

If they don’t consider this their SCF with the Leafs, what excuse is there you can give me for the loss? We need to get as many W’s from weaker teams like Ottawa, Islanders, Florida and even Toronto.
All I am saying is that if you cannot go in and play 60 minutes of domintating hockey against a lowly no good team as Troronto, than you are not worthy ot be considered to be the best of the best with Philadelphia, Pittsburgh or Boston.
It was a pathetic performance. If this were a 7 game series against Toronto, I would not want to face them.
This should have been an easy 2 points and we choked.
If the team cannot get up to play against Toronto, as you say., then the team, as a whole should be ashamed of themselves not only themselves but diehard Habs fans who come to the ACC with their only chance to see them play.
You perhaps can take the loss lightly and find some excuse for last night;s game but I will not accept this loss.
We have a very tough schedule in December and don’t expect it to be easier from hereon in.

Good teams drop stinkers against bad teams every season. It’s a fact of the NHL and you should stop whining about MTL dropping a game against a team they don’t consider real rivals since they’re a basement franchise with no future to build on.
