Surprise! Price to face Sabres

Here’s an update from the Canadiens thanks to The Gazette’s Herb Zurkowsky.

Carey Price will start in net Friday night in Buffalo, but head coach Guy Carbonneau is not prepared yet to say who will start on Saturday.

The lineup for Friday’s game will be the same one as Tuesday night.

  1. Steiner says:

I’m kind of scared of the number one spot….
imagine if the Caps grab the final spot.
    Huet vs. Price….

Whether we meet the Caps in the playoffs or the Pens… theres going to be a lot of talk about moves of at the deadline right up until any or all of the three teams are out…. or have won the cup… of course.

  2. habsgod says:

actually it is longer just got over one mcl grade 1 ligament sprain!it’s 3 -6 week recovery injury!!

  3. Steiner says:

and then the goal scorer got ejected for the game with a fighting major….

  4. coutNY says:

What do you mean they got Dupuis for depth??? He scored didn’t he…

  5. WestHab says:

Timo, put the 🙂 just so we know it’s tounge in cheek. But yeah there’s a lot of complaining here. Alot of upbeat Hab fans tonight, hope it’s this way tomorrow!

  6. Rugger says:

Well they did score a goal tonight, that’s a major improvement!

  7. 1010 says:

Good to see Murray making differences in Ottawa already.

    GO HABS.

  8. dicktracy says:

everybody here seems in a really good mood tonight…yaaah go team… go habs

  9. linp says:

But Richard has already 3 assists. The game is only half way.

  10. Steiner says:

    Don’t worry.
I laughed too… but I’m sure no one is laughing as much as Bob Gainey…

    In Bob we trust, indeed.

  11. Les-Habitants says:

Yah, but still, is he going to come back after those 2 weeks and be a) in game shape and b)have that explosive step?

No man, no matter how you spin this, its bad news. And now they’re gonna have to cope with a lineup missing Armstrong, Christensen, Hossa, and Crosby.

Malkin, Sykora, and Staal are all great players…but just ask Tampa how well it works without any depth.

  12. TripleX says:

Grade 1 MCL is a minor ligament injury, usually 1 to 2 weeks depending on the athlete.

  13. WestHab says:

Yes and we all want the flyers to make the playoffs!!!
