I’m a guitarist. Been playing since I was 15. I was just on ebay, I’m about to buy myself a Telecaster to add to my collection (don’t tell my wife). It really depends on the damage. Is it a crack in the neck or is it snapped clean apart? Sometimes a headstock repair can be done and the guitar is good as new with no intonation problems, but sometimes problems can arise. It can be a gamble for that much money. I have scored some amazing deals in Montreal pawn shops over the years. I thnik I have around 8 or 9 git’s currently in the stable.
Hard to tell with the music, but it sounded like Price actually got a pretty good cheer.

It’s hard to believe that the NHL gets anything positive out of this ASG weekend, but I guess they must, or they wouldn’t do it. Obviously all the established hockey fans would rather be watching “real” hockey … so the ASG must reach new ones?
I liked it when I was a kid, when it was Wales vs Campbell, but that is probably just because I was a kid. I liked the baseball all-star game as well. But I haven’t watched either since 1990, and I have never in my life watched an NBA ASG or an NFL Pro Bowl.

OT: Any guitar players out there? I found a Gibson Explorer in a pawn shop. It has a neck that was damaged and needs repair. It plays and sounds great, but I am concerned about the neck repair. Online research suggests that it isn’t a problem if the repair is done well … and I do know a good luthier. Asking price is $799, as is, pretty cheap for a Gibson. Any fellow musicians got some advice to share?

Outstanding youn man! Absolutely! Amazing that he has attained this level of respect from his peers right across the league at such a young age.
There is a ‘but’ though if you dont mind. I feel that the MVP from last year’s playoffs was NOT Toews. I think when Buff??? came alive in the 3rd game the momentum of the series changed. I think Buff had a bigger on ice impact than Toews.
But no way can one argue with the quality hockey palyer and person that Toews is. Nice to mention Subban in the same breath but unrealistic right now.

Jonathan Toews was called Captain Serious by his own team, was made Captain of the Hawks in his 2nd season and in his 3rd season, won a Stanley Cup, shrugged when given the Conn Smythe but his face lit up like a fireworks display when he lifted that Cup. There is almost no one in the NHL as dedicated to a team win as much as Toews. He’s been outstanding in the World Juniors, The Olympics and the Playoffs. He is one of the most mature and professional young players in the game.
