Subbanov pays price; Gorges, Hamrlik out

AUDIO: P.K. Subban | Hal Gill | Jacques Martin

P. K. Subban paid the price for Team Canada’s el foldo at the world junior championships. He lost a bet to teammate Andrei Markov and he was forced to don a red Russia sweatshirt and hat after the morning skate in Brossard.

Markov is a long-term casualty following knee surgery and the Canadiens will alao be without defencemen Josh Gorges and Roman Hamrlik. This will be the fifth game Gorges has missed with a right knee injury. He is not skating and is beginning to look like a long-term case.

Hamrlik missed two practices this week with an undisclosed injury. He returned to the ice before his teammates and stayed after the morning skate but whatever ails him will keep him out tonight.

His absence means Alexandre Picard returns to the lineup after three games as a healthy scratch and there will be a change in the secobd power-play unit. David Desharnais will  be up front between Michael Cammalleri and Andrei Kostitsyn while Tomas Plekanec will replace Hamrlik on the left point with Subban on the right.

Lars Eller will be the healthy scratch
