Ottawa Senators forward Jason Spezza is not expected to play against the Canadiens tonight at Scotiabank Place (7 p.m., CBC, RDS, CJAD Radio-800). Spezza was a last-minute scratch from the Senators’ game against Buffalo last night because of a nagging groin injury. The Senators recalled Zach Smith from Binghamton this morning.
The Senators will have captain Daniel Alfredsson, who reached the 1,000-point plateau with three goals in Friday’s 4-2 win in Buffalo. Alfredsson has feasted on the Canadiens in the past with 29 goals and 101 points in 76 games.
For the Canadiens, Mathieu Darche is in for Dustin Boyd and will play on a line with Lars Eller and Travis Moen.
Brian Elliott will start in goal for the Senators while Carey Price gets his seventh consecutive start for the Canadiens.

id rather have spezza in and a player like neil out. spezza sucks monkey testies. moen should pound him
I wish Alfredsson was the Sens player doubtful for tonight’s game. But, all take Spezza if thats my
only option. LOL.

I guess Kovalev will have to step it up then…
LOL good one.
Darche in for Boyd? Is it a joke?
Unless Boyd is injured and we can’t call up White, I see no reason to play Darche.
a game for the taking…a game for the taking.
