Your 100% right the players would not accept a contraction of any of the leagues teams because it would mean less jobs.
But I believe Ian was commenting in a “what if” scenario, not really looking at the situation from the player’s standpoint, but how to improve the league for us fans.
I don’t have anything against you, I just find sometimes you seem to be arguing just for the sake of, well.. arguing

Heck, I no longer have expectations at all, and it’s made watching hockey less stressful and more enjoyable. Sure, I have opinions on how the team could be better, and yes, I would like it to be, but I take what we as Habs fans (not specifically Halak fans: Habs fans) can get and cheer for it, and it works.
