With visions of sugar plums still in our heads and too much turkey gurgling its way through our gastric system, the Canadiens hit the ice in Long Island this evening.
• Pat Hickey’s preview.
• Canadiens Year in Review
I know. I meant that I go with the home team (NOLA boy here, now living in MTL) in both cases. Though the Islanders are on a bit of a roll. I hope our guys don’t make another goalie look great tonight.
Saints are doing ok but not great. It’s going to be tough for them to try to repeat this year. Beating the Falcons would help them. Saints would clinch a playoff slot with this win or the next game. But I think that if they beat the Falcons and the Bucs (their last game) and then the Falcons lose their last game, the Saints are #1 seed in the NFC. Though I think the more likely scenario is that they beat the Bucs to clinch. Should be a good one tomorrow though.
No, I mighta listened, but the picks had to be in afore 13h so had to leave the computer a few minutes before and make a call. Wouldn’t’ve asked about those games if I had no intention to listen, believe me.
Unquestionably unquestionable, I think I’m

Good Luck, I wouldn’t listen to me this year either.
Yeah, but the Habs are playing the Islanders.
Falcons ain’t Islanders this year.
Too late. Took Bears. Like you say, Jets inconsistent. Bears too but they’re at home and… Devon Hester and… really, I just kinda went that way cuz this one was too close a call.
Too late. Took Colts. Got scared. Went safe. They got almost just as much ridin on this game as the Rrraiders do and they’re EXPERIENCED winners… I dunno, I went safe.
Too late. Took Broncos. Game a coin-flip. Decided to drink Tebow kool-aid.
Not only are the Falcons good at home, they’re good altogether, ask me. Reckon they’ll wanna see how they stack up against the champs and give’em all they got. Took Falcons.
Appreciate input, Max; thank you.
Gotta go with New Orleans for much the same reason that I gotta go with the habs tonight. But the Falcons in Atlanta will be a tough one for my homies.
Prédictions asks you to call the winner of every game. Winner is the one who gets the most right. Score doesn’t matter. I took NE. Believe it or not.
But thanks anyway, Felix.
I like most of the picks you have made but…….. Saints win the Monday night game.
I have never failed at anything in my life so far… TripleX 12/23/2010 16:34pm”
I know a kick ass NFL handicapper, his play today is NE-BUF under,,,it doesnt help you out, but just in case you were looking for a total.
[Disclaimer]: I’m a hockey fan. I care about the habs, but probably not as much as you.
Sanchez has shoulder issues, but teh Bears are not that consistent. Jets love their coach, and will come out fighting for him. Take Jets
Colts and Raiders … you lose a lot of money betting against Peyton Manning, still I have a feeling they come down off of last weeks effort with too many young players. Take Raiders
Texans and Broncos … Broncos are disaster. Take Texans
Falcons and Saints … Falcons at home, too good at home
Worked yesterday. Glad I didn’t have to see the Boys choke away another win. Can hardly wait for their season
to end. Hey, but the great news is that hockey is back and the Habs play tonight. Make it two wins in a row boys!
Go Habs Go!
I think the team was scheduled to fly from Montreal at 8:00 A.M..
Falcons are 19-1 with Ryan at home. Take the Falcons.
Still completely frazzled. Had the proverbial glass too many. Plus, I love my uncie to death but he can’t cook worth a sh*te. Beef ragout shouldn’t be GREY in my opinion. Obvious he tried to cheat and thicken it with flour. I didn’t say anything because I was the youngest at the table, but still…blechh! Hit the wine instead. Which didn’t really help.
Anyways, point is, can’t think straight and don’t have much time. Need help with my Prédictions:
Jets at Bears: Never know what you’re gonna see with either of these clubs. Reckon I should play it safe and take the home team?
Colts at RRRaiders: Colts aren’t at 100%. Still very good club. But Raiders have performed magic on occasion… Aww, maybe this one ain’t that complicated.
Texans at Broncos: what the hell, man? Honestly. Think I’ll just flip a coin.
Aaaand though I’ve kinda already decided, Falcons-Saints. Saints SHOULD win, probably will, but what is gamblin for except for takin chances? Reckon to take the Falcons unless I can be convinced otherwise by some of you fine folk.
Y’all got 15 mins afore I gotta go to the dep. Hit me.
Unquestionably unquestionable I think I’m
Anyone know if as per usual the team would of chartered the day before. Or were they just flying in today.
Is it possible the players could all be flying in from separate destinations.
Lineup today? That would be intact I guess.
Smells like hockey!! Well actually, it smells like maple smoked bacon in my house, but you get what i’m saying!!
Left over ham, with some scrambled eggs. Now lets see the Habs put the Isles back in the losing column.
“Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I’m not sure about the former.” Albert Einstein
Maple smoked bacon, mmmm…. speaking of that, I’m reminded that I’ll bet that when the Leafs next come to the Bell Centre, the Habs faithfull will greet them with waffles?
I had to be a pig and try all three different types of turkey dressing yesterday….now i feel like i have a lead balloon in my tummy….or maybe i,m pregnant!!!
i do it every year???
I used to live in Burtts Corner and I went to The F’ton Canadins games .love F’ton.
Expecting a Huge Blizzard here on Long Island Today/Tonight, Should be fun getting to and from the game. I wonder if they will cancell it if it gets as bad as they say it will

Their calling for 2ft of snow in Boston
We have a blizzard warning and we are supposed to get about 18 inches here in southern Connecticut but with drifting and such some places will see up to 24 inches. That is why I have a hotel room waiting for me at the Hilton across the parking lot from the Nassau Coliseum.
Nobody’s going to the game, anyways. It’s the Islanders!
Good to have hockey back – and boy is there ever a smorgasboard of it today! WJCs and then the Habs!
Well, here I am in Columbus, Ohio at the in-laws’… no hockey down here, good thing it’s a Sunday and the NFL’s on or I’d be up to my neck in college basketball.
Uncle Tim will tell me once again how the University of Kentucky Wildcats are the greatest sports team…
Cousin Mike will strike up hockey talk with me and complain about the Blue Jackets sucking which brings me to an announcement – we have a new Habs fan in the world!
Yes my wife has finally once and for all for the umpteenth time vowed to quit cheering for the CBJ and firmly plant her wagon behind ours in Habsland.
She watches the games with me and really got into the playoff run last spring, she likes that winning thing which the Jackets really don’t care for anymore besides she says, she already has a lot of Hab gear (my old jersey, etc…)
Next I gotta get her onto Habs I/O… she wasted her time at HFboards doing the CBJ whine so it should be an easy transition to here…
Joyeux Jour de Boites to one and all!
A great day to enjoy some hockey AND some time off work. Going to the inlaws to chow down on some turkey, come back home to catch Team Canada lay some whoop-ass on Team Russia, down a few Picaroon’s Ale (Growler’s are awesome!), and get ready for the Habs/ Isles game for later this evening. Can’t it get any better than this for a Canadie(a)n’s hockey fan? I don’t think so! Enjoy the day everyone!!!
GO CANADA GO!!!
GO HABS GO!!!
Thats a good idea, I have to work on Monday(USPS Letter Carrier), so I gotta get home. I would love to stay over night. There was a Blizzard last year when the Habs came to town in December, that was a horrible trip home, took 3 hours normally 40 minutes
I ate two plates of dinner, then put the goalie gear on for the kids to shoot at. Almost puked all over the rink. I still feel full today.
What a great day.
World Juniors, NFL, and the Habs beating up on Long Island.

they are talking right now about postponing sunday nights vikings at eagles game. – –
Technical difficulties while on vacation nearly killed Habs Future for this weEk! Fortunately, found a solution that should suffice for today. Long story short, it should be up tommorow provided nothing else unforseen occurs.
What happens when you’re away from your own computer…
– I shall always remember Captain Koivu. Habs and Hockey.
GO HABS GO
GO CANADA GO

Oh this is a beautiful day of sports
My son son plays in good old B.C later this week … I told him to foil up those nuckles….i think they got hit hard with flooding this Dec.
I to was at many of those Fredericton Canadian games; its still nice to see many of the players we watched go on to great careers, like Theodore,Conroy,Brashear,Belanger, etc…
I,m sure those in Hamilton are just now starting to see all the young ones get thier shot!!!
Happy New year

Do you think the Canadiens made a good move trading Brandon Prust in exchange for Zack Kassian?
