Quiet practice: Price shaves tonight!

Canadiens goalie Carey Price loses the caterpillar atop his upper lip before midnight, his work for Movember in support of prostate cancer awareness done. So much for superstition…

Price won this month’s Molson Cup as the Canadiens’ player of the month based on three-star selections. No big surprise there for the man who will start in goal tomorrow night at the Bell Centre against the Edmonton Oilers.

A remarkably uneventful practice in Brossard today, save for the return from two so-called therapy days for defenceman Josh Gorges.

Tomorrow will be the 800th NHL game for defenceman Jaroslav Spacek, who categorically refused to speak today to RDS reporter Renaud Lavoie because Lavoie, unaware that he was working today, had shaved off his mustache one day early. Seriously.

A Spacek video coming in a short while, along with audio of coach Jacques Martin’s news briefing. The coach expressed no untoward concern about his team not filling the opposition net. He also denied that that he’s got a deal with La Cage aux Sports to keep Habs scoring to four goals or less, hence not offering fans free chicken wings.

Took quick glance at schedule. Oh Man! you are right beginning with back-to-back wed/thurs an against NJ as one of them. Even when NJ is nt playing well they are tough opponent for HABS.

They should just target the 5 best shot blockers in the NHL, sign them all, and trade Markov a forward.  Not likely though 😉

Well it is to bad you don’t have a family, you will never know life! Pat Burns is family. Do not ever cross my family, friend.

Scott Gomez devrait faire ses achats chez Jean Coutu. Où on trouve tout. Même un ami…

It was the first store that came to mind. insert local Montreal store that may sell krazy glue at your leisure. The idea being that Gomez is gonna buy the shaved stache to glue to his own face and see if it can bring him some of Price’s mojo so he can get rewarded on the scoreboard for all the hard work he’s putting out on the ice with little to show for it so far.

Shoppers Drug Mart? why was Scott in Ontario? sounds like a big trade is in the works haha

  9. Nahlsy says:

The clippings from Price’s shave have been put on Ebay. The winning bid was $300k, by a S.Gomez11 from Montreal.

In an unrelated story, Scott Gomez was seen testing various adhesive products on his upper lip in the local Shoppers Drug Mart recently.

    I have to disagree.

I am pro-stache. It acts as a force field and keeps pucks from going in like OFF repels mosquitoes.

Who cares if it’s itchy and makes him look like Carey Grant. It has a proven track record.

    Save it. Don’t shave it.

If you thought November was going to be a difficult month for this team, look at December’s scheduled games.

Could make or brake this team’s hold on the Northeast Division and overall standing in the Eastern Conference.

    Go Habs Go!

If you don’t get a satidfactory response from the CBC withing three weeks, be sure to follow up with the CRTC.

Centre Hice: Price in a charitable mood

subjective really. i think it’s horrible either way.

  14. SeriousFan09 says:

If the Habs target Parise, it’s a solid move to make but it would likely involve dumping at forward because a weak D is what gets you into trouble in playoffs.

    – I shall always remember Captain Koivu. Habs and Hockey.

True R, I was more making fun of the the non believers who said we’d be a 500 hockey team by November.

I believe that the best of the Canadiens has yet to come.  Cammi and Gomez can be better, and that’s a good thing.

Question. Would you cheap out on defense in the off season to go after Praise?  I was thinking about this and decided no.
