Canadiens goalie Carey Price today was named the NHL’s third star of the week, recognition of his 3-0-0 record with consecutive victories over Florida and twice over Philadelphia.
I’m just going to throw it out there… I F-ING LOVE CAREY PRICE. He has the potential to be a franchise player. The worst move by the habs staff all year is bringing up Halak. In my opinion Halak has very little potential to improve. On the other hand Price has been improving every time he hits the ice for the habs. As for Huet, all the best in your free agency.
Ok now we have at least 7 centers going to be playing in hamilton, something is gonna happen soon.
i wish we would of drafted the younger koivu, the guy is like 6’2″ 210
The price is right.Since his stint in hamilton i really see a change in him.Standing up longer against the shooter.Still com and kool.Let,s kick some ranger butt tomorrow nite.Chow for now hab fans.
legace played more games
Wish we had another Koivu. Mikko seems to be developing into a solid player.
Does Kovalev have any siblings?
Can’t help thinking if Latendresse hadn’t let Cote walk in and score, Price would’ve gotten more consideration. Sour grapes maybe, but yet another example of Lats floating for no good reason
Ahaha, nice minor league move… it might motivate Oli and also Gui…
even though I doubt Olivier will reach the NHL, it is a good move for minor’s minor club
CH is for Chris Higgins
Congrats Price. He is our future #1, and the future may be sooner than later, because he looks ready now. I love Huet and what he has done for us. I think the smart thing is to get something for Huet now, but please, western conference, because I feel he is going to be a premiier goaltender for at least the next 5 years, and he will haunt us.
We are tied for first in the East. Gainey was planning on building a winner for next year, but the youngsters developed faster than expected, and we are a force to be reckoned with NOW!! Use Huet to add something.
With all our prospects, package Huet and get something big.
As stated by someone else today we are deep in prospects with no room for them. Package Huet with some prospects and get something big, now, we are contenders.
Speaking of prospects, Grabvoski has come back off his injury on a mission.
Player of the week in the AHL. 5 goals, 5 assists in is last 3 games. Might be a good replacement fo Smolinski.
Supposed to be
Hope he’s better than his brother.
montreal has another latendresse:
Good for Price. In honour of that “support our troops” thingie on his helmet… You might want to do so by arresting Bush! lol
The Habs aren’t giving the league much of a choice to pay attention and aknowledge the strides we’ve taken this year.
Way to be Price, Montreal loves you!
Nice of them to mention Huet winning “Third Star” for the month of January.
They make it sound like there hasn’t been a star on the team since Shelly left!
What does Price have to do to get first star?! Manny Legace sure didn’t make as much noise as Price. And Fedotenko’s 5 points I think weren’t as impressive as Price stopping 69 of 70 shots at one point.
Good job huet. Now lets go huet, show them, like you always have, that you have earned your spot as #1
Check that- good job Price! Price is the present and future Huet will be packaged up and traded in a week. But please no tears folks we’re in better hands.
Anyone want to dispute this? Bring it.
Way to go Price!! Well deserved! Keep puck tracking baby!
Let the kids play… let the non-performers watch or walk.
I new he would be a star this week, I mean 3-0, you can’t wrong with that.and those who complained that the CH drafted Price because we have Theodore, tsss…. We really have good goalie duo. Even if Huet hasn’t played lately you can see how happy he is for Price and he was afterall jan. 3rd star. It’ll be interesting to see who’ll start agains’t the rangers tomorrow. anyways, gohabzzzz.
Legace was also one of the stars of the week. If the Leafs had of signed him instead of trading for goaltenders, they would now have Manny in net as well as Rask and Cherepanov on their horizon of young stars. What a bunch of Laffs.
