The Gazette’s Pat Hickey writes that the Canadiens’ penalty-killing against the Maple Leafs last season was a problem, giving up 13 goals on 43 chances. But head coach Guy Carbonneau has a plan to help correct that problem.
“Our strategy is to dictate the play and, if we do that, the chances are that we won’t get into trouble,” Carbonneau said.
And Toronto will be an angry bunch on Saturday night after dropping two games to the Senators and failing to score a power-play goal in 14 opportunities against Ottawa.
“You know with the offensive players they have, they’re going to explode. You just hope that’s it’s not against us,” Mike Komisarek said.
