The Canadiens second pick in the first round last month, Max Pacioretty, is a little older than Ryan McDonagh, the Habs’ other first-round selection, but you wouldn’t know it by looking at them.
Pacioretty is a little smaller than McDonagh and a little less ready for prime time, but the power forward is intent on improving his skills, starting with the Canadiens development camp, which ends today.
“And it’s a great camp to develop your skills, with great coaches,” he said. “It’s unbelievable. I just want to improve my skills and be the best player I can be.”
I just want to have a good enough summer where I can jump in (at the University of Michigan) and put up some numbers next year, and play with some good players.”
