Canadiens defenceman P.K. Subban called it “awesome,” which might have been a generous thing to say. But the hugely popular rookie rearguard was a good sport Monday after practice in accepting from Dave Stubbs the “coveted” hat trick pin to recognize his first NHL three-goal game.
Here’s the background on the pin, which was made in Montreal and is older than Subban himself.
(Yes, the plan had been for Subban’s good friend, goalie Carey Price, to play Steven Spielberg. But for a whole variety of reasons, Price wasn’t available to heckle Subban from behind the camera.)

pk has tons of talent and we do not need him to fight but he will fight if needed…but muscle size is a misconception as i have seen many boxing/mma bouts where the huge muscle guy gets beat by the rotund(lol fat) opponent…
A hockey fight and a MMA fight are two completely different things. I’m sure PK throws a pretty hard right hand.

My son was on the ice with PK at Canadiens hockey camp 2 years ago.
PK shattered the glass showing the kids his slap shot. The kids went wild. Great for the kids and future. PK, pass the pin on when we get another HAT TRICK.
