Noise/Bruit: Habs delay Streit talks until after the season

The Fourth Period reports that the Canadiens and defenceman Mark Streit have delayed contract talks until the end of the season. "The last conversations we had with the Canadiens were in early November," said Pat Brisson, Streit’s agent. "We agreed to discuss after the season’s over."

The Journal de Montréal has a story today on veterans Patrice Brisebois and Mathieu Dandenault, who could see some game action during this weekend’s games. While they are not living an easy situation right now, the paper reports that they have a positive attitude, especially since the team is doing well. The paper also looks at the surprising scoring output for the Canadiens, which is one of the best offences in the league.

– La Presse spoke with Canadiens legend Jean Béliveau, who said he is undecided on whether or not the Habs should retire Patrick Roy’s No. 33 after the recent incidents.
