Recchi and the rest can say what they want to divert attention away from Chara, cause I’m sure he’s quietly wondering what will be headed his way. Plus he’s been very average since his “hockey play”.

I have it from a realible source, ( I can’t say who but he plays for Chi and rhymes with “ravioli”) that Recchi is the dirtiest player he has played against. Stick in the can, cheap shots after the whistle, yippin’ off and the like. I would love to see him get filled in tonight; clean but devestating.

Fans attending Tuesday’s game will have a chance to view and take a picture with Hockey’s Holy Grail
HAMILTON, ON – The Hamilton Bulldogs and Hamilton Entertainment and Convention Facilities Incorporated (HECFI) announced today that Copps Coliseum, celebrating its 25th Anniversary, will proudly host the viewing of the National Hockey League’s Stanley Cup on Tuesday, March 29th prior to the ‘Dogs 7:00 p.m. home game against the Abbotsford Heat. Fans that have a ticket to Tuesday’s game will be able to view and take pictures with the Stanley Cup from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Fans must have a ticket to Tuesday’s game in order to access this special showing.
The oldest trophy in North American professional sports, the Stanley Cup is awarded annually to the NHL’s playoff champions following the conclusion of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Montreal Canadiens, NHL affiliate of the Bulldogs, have hoisted the Stanley Cup a league-leading 24 times including a record five consecutive times from 1956-1960.
Been reading elsewhere. Martin refused to comment on Recchi’s stupidity (said he doesn’t read the press, he’s too busy with hockey)
Mara and Gill didn’t sound overly impressed with Recchi at all either.
“We heard those comments yesterday,” Montreal blueliner Paul Mara said Thursday morning in advance of the game between the Bruins and Canadiens at TD Garden. “A player with a broken vertebra and has been knocked out on the ice for 3 or 4 minutes, how do you question the integrity of a hockey team and that we’re embellishing it? [It] is really questionable coming from a guy who’s 42 years old and has been around the league for so long. He’s entitled to his opinion and we’re entailed to ours, but in Montreal we really know the truth.”
Montreal defenseman Hal Gill — a former Bruin — was asked about Recchi’s comments, too. “I don’t have any thoughts on that,” Gill said. When pressed further about a veteran player like Recchi questioning the integrity of the Montreal organization, Gill responded by saying: “We had a player that was pretty seriously injured. If you’re saying anything other than, ‘I hope he’s well and I hope he’s getting better’ then I don’t have any time for it.”

I’ll keep an eye out for #28 in yellow, hoping he’ll try and rush past Gill or Mara tonight.

Apparently Plekanec, Halpern, Darche, and Sopel are all game time decisions tonight, with Plekanec, Darche, and Sopel being more probable than Halpern.
If Sopel plays, then Picard sits, and if Plekanec is in Dawes is out. I’m assuming that if Darche is ready to go then Pyatt will sit.
EDIT: Forgot bout Engvist…
I assume that in that scenario, they’d keep Dawes over Pyatt for toughness. I think we’d line up like this:

There are a lot of myths/memes circulating on the internet about our team. One is that we’re dirty after the whistles with stickwork/crosschecks/etc. Another is that we’re the league’s worst divers. I don’t buy either of those, but hey that’s what the internets say.
What I’d like to call your attention to is the “booing the U.S. national anthem” myth. I’ve watched every Habs game for the last three years and I don’t think I’ve heard it once, but maybe it doesn’t come through on TV. Can anyone actually tell me the last time it happened?

I think we have to admit there is some serious pathology among certain Habs fans. But they are a small number. Remember it only takes 20 people to boo during the anthem for it to be very obvious.
20 people booing, and 2000 real fans telling those 20 to stfu, that’s my theory.

Bostonians get off on playing the loser. Don’t believe it? Look at the Bruins and the Red Sox (and their fans). Who do they pick a rivalry with? They go after the best and know there’s no way in hell they could ever hope to come out of it on top. They’re gluttons for punishment. The Celtics are a slightly different issue as they’ve actually had success, but even they’ve managed to make the Lakers (the second best) their rival. Boston just loves to wallow in their own misery while their rivals win time and time again. It’s something about their fans that draws them all to associate with losers in general so they can gripe about winners and feel sorry for themselves and spread all of the bitterness they’ve got in life out towards the teams they are jealous of etc etc.

On a more serious note, skimming through the post-Recchi interview commentary and stories, one would think that if indeed this was a big ruse to get Chara suspended, someone from the habs brass would have let MaxPac in on the conspiracy no? “Uhm…Max, about that twitter account you are thinking of opening up, why not wait a few weeks. Oh, and if you are feeling like getting out and watching a movie or something…reconsider and create a netflix account instead”.
Recchi’s/Boston radio’s take on this is all messed up…talk about blaming the victim.

It was Campbell’s band of idiots that screwed that situation up.
They penalized the infraction, yes, but we still had a fight very early on and then, with the game long settled, the Bruins still resorted to thuggery.

going into this game we are badly out gunned in the scoring stats…the bruins have scored 17 more goals than we have and some of their new players (peverley,kelly,etc) goals are not included as they scored many of their goals with their former teams…the bruins have 12 players on their roster with 10 or more goals and thornton has 9…we may be missing 55 goals from our line up(plecks,maxpac,darche,halpern). if the bruins dont win today this would really be a huge psychological scar for them because there is no way they should lose this game…. with the injuries our scoring line stats wise will be at an unbelievable disadvantage…
They were all missing when Habs scored 8 goals on Sunday, their best output in years.
i gotta feelin’ it will come down to who is going to allow the one less goal tonight vs. who will score more. Habs will try to play a game like BUffalo did. At least they may have learned a thing or two from it seeing as it was so recent.
