What do the young guys have to do to get a regular gig on this team. Sitting Emelin for the sole reason that Crapoli actually played for Ott for like a half season and nobody really cared anyhoo…Wether you played for a team in the past or not unless you were there for an eternity should not be criteria to dress at the expense of a young player who is on an upswing and the only player with a set of cojones on this team that actually scares the opponent. Crapoli should not be on this team he sx and simply gives it away. He was lucky to get the assist tonite because it was PK who saved his bacon and got him the pass.
Emelin is a rookie, playing for the first time in North America, and he is not the best conditioned player on the team. He could use a rest from time to time. A young player being scratched for a game can have its benefits. He could be told to watch something specific so that he can continue to learn. He could also have stiff muscles. Just chill out. Rookies routinely sit out games.
We also have to give Campoli some games. He is still pretty good no matter what you think. If another defenseman gets injured, we’re going to need him to be sharp when he gets thrown in. We also could be showcasing him in case we decide to trade him.
The only thing Emelin gets from watching the rest of the Montreal defence is how to Suck. your going to say Campoli is better condidioned? Campoli could hit a dozen eggs and come out with 13 ready to be cooked.
Do you really not understand that being a great body-checker does not mean that you are necessarily in better condition than a magic-egg-producing soft player?
