Anyone notice how fast JM pulled out his pad after Pleks’ goal? He’s clearly the ringleader of an inside gambling scheme, pouring over the numbers on the over/under columns, with names of high rollers using his influence in throwing games with questionable decision making. I suspect the Molsons and the french speaking Montreal mafia are involved. Goatier/Gainey haven’t a clue. JM’s stoic demeanor re poor officiating is notable, hinting as to the scale/magnitude of the operation. Every Gomerless game results in heavy losses though. Time for Plan B..

The more I listen to Tony Marinaro and Team 990, the more I regret CJAD losing the Habs broadcasts. I have heard more professional sounding high school sports broadcasts. And Marinaro is an arrogant douche. I realize TSN had the financial clout to outbid CJAD, but do the Molson’s really want that group of morons to be the voice of their franchise?!

Insane game in Philly. Third period began with the Jets holding a 6-4 lead. Three minutes later, it’s 7-6 Philly. Another 90 seconds and its 8-7 Winnipeg.

So far the dismissal of the PP’s and PP is working. don’t get too excited yet. when they reel off 5 than I’ll get excited but it’s nice to see them trying to turn it around. this is a better team than some of the fans give them credit for. Martin will be happy..this is how the habs have won many games the last 2 years…great goaltending, some major errors, and 2 goals on minimal chances… can it work for more than 2 rounds in the playoffs? probably not….solid effort by moen today…the only goal scoring centre we have is plecks..right now it does not look like dd and eller have goal scoring ability in the nhl…looks like 7-10 goals each this year..
Kicking myself for switching away from the Jets-Philly game when it was 4-1….. Insane lack of defense from the Flyers, just generally and in not getting guys out of the front of the net.

Ok, for the first time in my life I wanted to see Mtl lose on Wed night because we clearly need to lose Martin. I can’t believe they pinned the responsibility on Pearn and now that they won, the admin think they are geniuses.
I couldn’t want them to lose tonight because they were playing the Bruins- the dirtiest, cry-babiest bunch of classless fckers that ever laced up. Mtl actually played well too. I think it’s only fair that the refs wear Bruins jerseys since they are clearly on that side.
If we always played like this, we could win. But while PG and JM are lovers, we’ll never lose him. These two wins have to convince these boners that they are the smartest coaches in the world.

Obviously JM does things his way, but I was pretty confused when my RDS came back to life and I saw the guys he had on the ice with under two minutes to go. Nokelainen I get, he’s the face-off guy (lost both of them though), and Moen, but Blunden? Gill maybe, but Diaz? I was panicking.
Well it worked. Somewhat barely.
Awesome game though, totally entertaining and a hard-fought win that the Habs actually deserved despite the fact that Price bailed them out big-time.

Come on — Spacek was very solid: every team in the league would take him…especially for a playoff run. His minutes are now manageable for his age, and if that keeps up he will be a huge asset come playoff time (he’d be a VERY highly tradeable commodity if we were, say, out of it…._
Wow!!! That reminded me of the kinds of games these teams used to play in the 80′s, with less blood.
My observations:
Coming back from behind, the Habs played for the second game in a row a more robust game, played bigger, had an aggressive fore-check, were reading Boston’s plays as if each pass was telegraphed and used the 4th line effectively and with significance.
The last two games and every other game before are two completely different beasts.
So it was all Pearn’s fault or what?
