Dear Sirs, I had the opportunity to catch part of the Hockey game on CBC last night and it disgusted me! Is it part of the CBC mandate to have the likes of Mike Milbury denigrate a hockey team on national television by calling them “Cockroaches” among other things? It is bad enough that we are subject to Don Cherry’s blatant racism every week, but there has to be a breaking point when common decency should prevail. The CBC is a “National” broadcaster, that is quickly becoming/has become an irrelevant “Regional” broadcaster that is Toronto centric. Seriously! Boston is a bunch of softies these days. Even Max Lapierre was giving it to big Zdeno Chara in the corners in the third last night. This is the team that blew a 3-0 series lead and than blew a 3-0 lead in the decisive game seven. Soft and Mentally fragile, definitely not the bruins of back in the day.
Milbury is the worst GM in the history of the NHL and PJ stock is a complete hack who was THAT guy who tried to get guys to fight because that was the only way he could earn his paycheck.
Theres a reason why a 35 year old PJ stock hasnt been playing for over 5 years, and a reason why mike milbury is no longer a GM. Who could care less what they have to say.

Dog, serious is a brain and they can sometimes be a bit literal – I think he means just because Gomez is loose off the ice it doesn’t mean he’s not focused on the ice. Larry Robinson is an example of a great practical joker who was all business on the ice. That’s all. I don’t mean to get in middle but you guys are my two favorite posters.

Off topic: I’m driving from Waterloo, ON to Charlottetown, PE leaving this Sunday. I wanted to stop in Montreal for the Sunday night and watch the game at Hurley’s (always hear the ads when listening to 990). That leaves a bit of a drive for day 2 though so now I am thinking I may stop in Quebec City the first night instead. Does anyone know of a good spot there to watch the game and have a few beverages?
Any input would be appreciated!

Very telling that when we don’t have an enforcer the Bruins are dropping their gloves and eager to fight after every bump and clean check. Yet when we had an enforcer they ran away like cowards, too scared to fight. Boston and Philly are like school in the summer, no class.l

First and most important. I hope they are wrong about PG not making a move before the Feb window closes. We really need another D, and maybe even a top 6 forward. But I would prefer a D. I hope he has the FULL killer instinct to get us to win a cup. I do not think we have a good chance at the Cup without a top defenseman.
Mike Milbury is an idiot. He has DIRECTLY hurt the Isles franchise for year to come. He is directly responsible for the cap hit for Yashin. He lost them all their top prospects that they acquired while being the worst team in the league. He is responsible for Wade Redden, Zdeno Chara, Luongo, Taylor Pyatt, Tim Connolly, Raffi Torres, Salo, Jokinen, Bertuzzi, and Zigmund Palffy…. Among other boneheaded errors…. He lost out on Marian Hossa, Danny Heatley and Jason Spezza… AND the NHL changed its policy of having the Coach pick the All Star team, cause IDIOT Milbury wanted to bring in enforcers to roughen up the game… So I really dont expect anything intelligent to come out of his ‘Don Cherry lite’ mouth. Toronto’s latest GM decision have been better than Milbury’s…

I think those email matters, if the issue is important to those people they should definately send them in.
The other means of showing your frustration towards their announcers is to listen to other broadcasters.
I have had that feeling for years now, But I would have him on the Habs in a heartbeat.
