Habs prospect Danny Kristo has been named to the U.S. Junior Select team which will compete in the World Junior A Challenge, Nov. 2-9 at Camrose, Alberta. Kristo was one of 22 players selected from the United States Hockey League.
A native of Eden Prairie, Minn., Kristo was the first player selected by the Canadiens in June’s entry draft. Montreal didn’t have a first-round pick and he was selected 56th overall in the second round. Kristo is playing for the Omaha Lancers while finishing high school. He is expected to attend the University of North Dakota next fall.
