Koivu should be ready

Canadiens captain Saku Koivu wasn’t available for overtime Wednesday night against the Bruins and he skipped practice today but coach Guy Carbonneau said he expected Koivu to be in the lineup Saturday night against Phoenix.

While the Canadiens are adhering to the NHL policy of not disclosing injury information, Carbonneau did say the injury was not related to the fooot ailment which plagued Koivu in training camp. "We’re keeping him as a precaution but we got good news this morning and we expect him to practice tomorrow," said Carbonneau.

Christopher Higgins and Francis Bouillon both practiced with the team in Verdun yesterday. Neither has been cleared by the doctor but Carbonneau said there was a chance both of them could play Saturday.
