ok ok you guys…you are wayyyy too smart to be fooled any longer. You have it right, i am a Laffs fan and i AM on here to stir up trouble. The reason i do this is because your Habs are such a better team than my Losers Even After Forty Seasons Mople Laffs that in utter desperation i need a diversion for myself so i dont dwell on what an idiot i am for supporting this cast of blue-clad clowns all my sorry life and go take a nap on the 401 to rid myself of these…..impure thoughts ive been thinking lately.
Congrats to you all and your superior canadiens hockey club for making the playoffs yet again while me and my fellow Loaf Nation fools are repeatedly forced to watch from the outside. Can u unde3rstand why i have these mixed up emotions? I really am the worst kind of loser for subjecting myself to this humiliation and embarassment that is leafs hockey, year in and year out. I wish i could renounce my misplaced loyalty to the blue and white and jump ship, step up to Habs Fandom, but my stinking drooling leaf fan buddies would have my tiny, girlish balls garnishing their cereal in the morning for doing that.
I admit it, the Habs are a much better team than the leafs and we deserved the pasting we got last night. So once again, please accept my sincere apologies for coming on your forum and insulting your vastly superior Canadiens. Please forgive me for being such a dolt,m i have erectile dysfunction, incontinence, and cant wear Depends cuz of my hemmorhoids. Also, my wife rightfully suspects i like to dress up in her clothes and pick up men in gay bars. Sighh….im such a mess.
On my knees begging your forgiveness,
    Jeff the Loaf Fan

PS: Please disregard all my future posts that may seem to have me reverting to my old trollish form…those are just times that i forgot to take my medication. I dont mean what i say in those posts.

It’s that time of year again 16 for 25. Cup? We have a chance to beat Boston. Problem is we always die in the next round from the emotional drain. We need to defeat Boston and still be on all cylinders for the next round. With any luck we can dodge phily this time. If not we will have to find a way to beat them. If we can take the east the stanley cup will be decided by who we drw and how we perform. Playoffs are unpredictable but this is where I believe the Habs stand

My first post after finally registering on HIO (been following all along).

First – Congratulations to JM. He really is human and I’m glad to see that smile.

Second – Great season boys. We’ve been through a lot so far, more yet to come

Third – I absolutely love MB’s “tweets”. Exactly what I was thinkin all day. LOL @ Maple Leafs Rat. Vintage coach’s corner and HNIC garbage (Friedman was good tonight). Milbury needs to learn about internet porn.

Fourth – Where do all these trolls come from. Is there not the underside of a bridge that requires attention, or perhaps the ACC?

Fifth – Hold on to your buts boys, it’s about to get awesome.

        • Habtastic says:

I guess you (Jeff) missed my point (that there is something special about the Habs in my heart), but whatever, prolly shouldn’t have mentioned anything related to touchy issues, although thanks for the advice. Good tautology above Jeff. Worthy of a Bruin fan.

Anyyyyway, since we’re all on the same team (aside from Jeff and perhaps observer), I’ll just leave it at GO HABS GO!!!! If there IS such a thing as Karma, well, then Habs in 4.

2 Phily vs Buff. Buff wins in ?

3 Bos vs Mtl. Mtl. wins in 6

    4 Pitts vs T.B. T.B. wins in ?

TOP 4 gone first round! We get home ice for 2nd round!

Ian, have you been drinking again? I always thought you were one of the lone realists here.

      Washington fur sure.

      Philly over the Sabres

You know, I’m impressed, as a Leaf troll(Or so I’ve heard) you picked the Habs over the Bruins. Good to see you aren’t biased.

That being said, I agree with all your predictions except Washington and NY. If Lundqvist can get into form and steal a game or two, they’ll upset the Caps.

  8. Listen to Jim Hugson’s calls on these three saves by Luongo its like he has a button that he pushes everytime Luongo makes a big save saying” GREAT SAVE LUONGO!”

I_SAY_FIGHT – (I wonder if Jim Hughson has a “Stopped by Rhimer” Button. Every time he says it it sounds the same – Tone, Pitch Quality Length and same cringe from me.)

  14. TorontoHabsFan says:

All credit to JM for getting his 600th – a seriously impressive feat in a career where you’re on the firing line the day after your first loss.

Also, if Alain Vigneault doesn’t win the Jack Adams there’s something seriously wrong with this league.

(The 3 slam dunk award winners – Vigneault for Adams, Skinner for Calder, and Thomas for Vezina.)

    • SeriousFan09 says:

Vigneault has a stacked team, NHL awards are not very kind to coachs with that situation because you’re expected to do well. I’d say Bylsma is the favourite for keeping the Pens alive missing two superstar players.

      – I shall always remember Captain Koivu. Habs and Hockey.

      • TorontoHabsFan says:

Vancouver won the President’s Trophy after dressing 14 defencemen. I’d say that’s equally as impressive a feat, if not moreso 🙂

        • SeriousFan09 says:

Having two 40-goal scorers and leading the league in Goals can help offset a defensive issue by outscoring your competition when the D is weak. PIT has had to grind out a ridiculous number of games to compensate for loss of their scoring stars.

          – I shall always remember Captain Koivu. Habs and Hockey.

          • TorontoHabsFan says:

Since Crosby went down Pittsburgh is 22-13-5. Since Malkin went down a month later they’re 14-10-4.

I’d argue that that’s precisely the kind of record you’d expect from that roster – slightly overperforming, but likely to return to the mean over the course of a season.

            And now I gotta jet – have a good’un!

      • Nahlsy says:

Pittsburgh’s record without those two, (or more specifically without Crosby) actually SUCKS by today’s NHL standards. Taking away shootouts and just going with actual hockey game results decided by hockey teams, the Pens are 15-17 since Crosby went out, 2 games under .500 even the Leafs are MUCH better over that time frame by comparison. Bylsma didn’t manage to do all that much without Crosby, Martin did a heck of a lot more with a heck of a lot more issues to deal with (like his entire blueline getting injured and his top scorers not scoring the second half of the year).

    • RonC says:

Agree, except for Vigneault…Blasma, will edge him out…but good picks.

He Jeff ( I mean you little prick) facts are facts. The Leafs are out of the playoffs 7 years in a row. The Habs are in the playoffs. The Habs are a better team then the leafs. The Habs have a better system than the Leafs. The Habs have a better group of players, more depth, better defensemen, better powerplay, better penalty killing.

See a trend you little prick. these are all facts . All you can think of is the size of the Habs.
