Jaroslav Halak and the Canadiens will be looking to extend their current winning streak to seven games tonight against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
It was no surprise when Jacques Martin confirmed that Halak will get the start tonight. In his six previous wins, he has posted a 2.06 goals-against average. A win tonight would give him the longest winning streak for a Montreal goaltender since José Theodore had seven consecutive wins in 2002.

i hope they don’t take the Leafs lightly especially now that they have a french canadian in net. hopefully the monster sieve starts in goal for the leafs.
On NHL.com their poll is:
Who has the most dangeorus powerplay?

No MTL. We have the 2nd best PP in the leauge. What the hell?…
Because they are the Leafs. They are hailed as Canada’s team, and haven’t won anything in over 40 years. Because even though they have been useless forever, they are talked about as being better than any other Canadian team. It’s in the CBC, its in TSN, it’s everywhere….. The Leafs are the reason I have been to Toronto only once, and i don’t remember leavig the Hotel. Somehow they are the most valuable Hockey Team, yet THEY SUCK…
Montreal is the greatest city in Canada. Toronto had possibilities. Then they became very Americanized. Who would you want to represent Canada’s cultural identity? Montreal has history and Character. Toronto doesn’t.
Canadiens have the Red and White of Canada, and the White and Blue of Quebec. The Maple Leafs, have Blue Jay colors.
“We lived in three places – the school, the church and the skating rink -
but our real life was on the skating rink.” This should explain it all…
Boston offers either Halak or Price 6 million a year over the summer. Hmmmmm! Which pick would we get in that case, the Toronto #1 or #2 over-all pick or the later Boston pick? :p
Same building as Tie Domi?! Wow, now that’s something!
Yorkville, eh? It’s a very nice area, I like going there! It’s slowly getting very populated though, well the entire GTA is.
I spent the past three years living at Bay and Yorkville – in the same building as Domi. Now that’s smack in the middle of Leaf Nation. Domi, by the way, is just about the nicest young man you could ever meet. Go Habs!!
why do you hate the leafs so much? serious question.
Philly doesn’t have their 1st round picks for the next 2 years (Pronger trade). No offer sheets for them!

The Habs are making me Bi-Polar.
Or in the chest so that his heart stops!
You’re in Georgetown, I am in Brampton.
We’re both surrounded by Leafs fans. My entire neighbourhood starts whining when I wear my Habs jersey.
Hopefully the Habs nail them and I can wear my jersey outside. Just to rub it in.
any thing for first pick of next draft,
No way would they give up Carter.
Couldn’t Philly just give him a offer sheet that the Habs wouldn’t match?
