Habs to bring up some Bulldogs

This is from The Gazette’s Pat Hickey in Wednesday’s newspaper:

Reinforcements on the way: Now that the Hamilton Bulldogs’ season is over, Canadiens general manager Bob Gainey said a number of players will join the parent club tomorrow.

"We need a third goaltender and there are some players we want to look at," Gainey said. "Some are possible replacements in case of injury but, for example, we signed a college player from Denver (Brock Trotter) in February and I haven’t had a chance to meet him."

While the Canadiens are still working on the invitation list, Yann Danis, Pavel Valentenko, Matt D’Agostini, Duncan Milroy, Kyle Chipchura and Corey Locke will be among the players called up. The Bulldogs missed the playoffs, but Locke was named the AHL player of the month for April.
