The Gazette’s Pat Hickey has a nice piece on former Canadien Craig Rivet in Tuesday’s paper:
The best trades are the ones that benefit both teams and, by that measure, the deal sending Craig Rivet from the Canadiens to the San Jose Sharks last winter was a smashing success.
"I can honestly say that I loved every minute I spent in Montreal, even with the ups and downs, but when the trade came, I was prepared for it. I knew it was time to move on," Rivet said before the Sharks hosted the Canadiens
Rivet, who said he felt mentally tired before the trade, has refreshed his career in San Jose where he has added a veteran’s presence to one of the youngest defence corps in the league.
