It won’t be so much a battle of old as a battle of the old. OK… older.
The Canadiens and Quebec Nordiques will again faceoff, this time in Quebec as part of the provincial capital’s 400th anniversary celebrations. The action, as it were, takes places Dec. 7. Read on below.
The release on the Battle of Quebec, kind of:

I think the Canadiens are going to have an easy time of it.
the one who looks really out of shape is richer. on the other hand, gaston la gaffe will probably surprise a lot of folks cause he is skinny and an active coach..
Hope Big Bird knocks Sleigher on his arse.
LEAFS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Back in ‘the day’, I don’t know who I hated more, Les Nordiques, Flyers, Bruins or the Leafs.
Toss up…..
Who am I trying to kid, I hated them all!!!!!
I’m surprised they didn’t put Schenn in net. He is their answer to Carey Price is he not???
Wally Weir?? lol
I was thinking of having breakfast that morning at the Colisee. Do you think I can order a May West with my Pepsi?
Who cares? It’s the Lowly Laffs! That organization has become the WWE
ok so where do i start here?? i started watching the habs when this rivalry started. certain players are obviously missing here … peter statsny? steve penney? dale hunter? PAUL GILLIS (i hated him!), joe sakic (oh yeah, he’s still playing for the avalanche), mats naslund (busy in sweden?), mike mcphee (what the hell is he doing these days?), brian skrudland (refer to mike mcphee), knuckles nilan (oh c’mon? would love to see him and paul gillis drop the gloves), petr svoboda (no clue where he is), and on a sad note (and no joking here) john kordic (who i loved as a fighter when he played for us – and we were able to get russ courtnall from the leafs for him) and bryan fogarty have since passed … i grew up watching some of the best games i can remember with the habs vs the nordiques. i will always miss the battle of quebec and i think it’s rad that they are doing this.
Question? What do you guys think of the leafs coaching staff switching Toskala to Joseph for the shootout….(losing ploy maybe?)

This just in: Alain Côté’s goal has been preemptively overturned by the judges.
Seeing Karl Dykhuis is in the Canadiens team is funny as hell. On another note.. Id love to see how fit Savage is and how Robinson does..

What in the halibut is the Nordiques Alumni Foundation.

“We all wore the same costume as Maurice Richard did; the red-white-and-blue costume of the Montréal Canadiens, the best hockey team in the world.” - Roch Carrier
The Nordiques are done for …..this early in the season and we have Brian Savage …..no contest.
Might be time for someone to finally pay back Louis Sleigher for what he did to Jean Hamel. We should see if Chris Nilan wants to play. Then the young fans would really get a chance to see what this rivalry was all about.
sorry but…Go Habs Go, really dont, and never could care for the Nordiques.
