if you are a team playing the habs you pretty well realize that if you stop gion and camm from scoring ,most nights you are looking at giving up only 1 goal…we have to do something next year as two years of this terrible offense is a joke…markov and maxpac if both healthy will help but if they are the only addition to this lineup we will still be in the bottom portion in the nhl in scoring…

Really? I’m serious, not calling you out on that or anything. I knew he was from Montreal, but didn’t know he wanted to be a Hab.
He was a classy guy – never complained or tried to pull a Lindros – he publicly stated he wanted to play for whoever drafted him. He developed respect and loyalty to the Pens over time, but grew up a Habs fan, as I recall. Mario was incredible to watch. No one now is even close to his talent level.
Crosby as well is a Habs fan…I hope he comes over when his contract is dine.

Also: his wanting to play for whoever drafted him? He also didn’t put on the jersey on draft day, didn’t even go down to the podium, just stood up and waved. Thing was, Pittsburgh was going to draft him, so they had already been negotiating a contract. Lemieux wanted 1mil, Pittsburgh didn’t want to give it to him. So they hit an impasse, and he didn’t put on the jersey, didn’t go to the podium.
If they had traded him instead of continuing to negotiate, Lemieux wouldn’t have cared. He didn’t want to play for whoever drafted him, he just wanted to play and get his 1mil$.
better he ref now than in game 7….we will probably have to win 2-1 …our line up is full of forwards who have goal scoring stats that belong to dmen….while it is nice that eller,white,pyatt,moen etc buzz around the other teams net but their lack of scoring ability is not helping this team…add gomez and pouliot who have not scored in over 50 game combined and we have one of the worst goal scoring line ups in the nhl…you can tell pk is frustrated by the no scoring talent of our 3rd and 4th lines as he answered the question about star players scoring on sportnet today and adv sometimes the 3rd and 4th line players have to score and he even said other teams 3rd and 4th liners have come thru in the playoff…
