Well deserved! Such an underrated player! :D

  3. idle says:

Is it too late to go back to that game, sit Markov out for ‘precautionary measures’ and then keep playing Price instead of sitting him that one game (3′rd or 4′rth).  Maybe play Halk in Vancouver….

    It’s a MAB MAB world.

  4. dancevon says:

Good for Josh.  All the players on the list deserve consideration, BUT, Josh Georges never takes a night off. He should get some consideration for the Captaincy…way to go Josh!!

The one and only good trade BG made

  11. Shagi says:

Yay Joshey! He’s a hard worker, and plays the day after getting clocked by a puck, what heart!

  12. Raster says:

You’re absolutely right, I should stop questioning his coaching decisions. It’s ridiculous that I find myself swearing at my television. That TV never did me any harm. You’ve protected another lifespan.

    Cheers

Sing O’Canada all night when we play the leafs, It will drive Burke and Wilson crazy

  14. Danno says:

Josh, congratulations. You deserve. Now, could you please find a way to make your fellow team mates rise to your level of grit and determination?

“Hey Richard, two minutes for looking so good!”

  15. DMAN says:

Not out of the question. He did score the overtime winner in the first game of the season.  A game that Toronto dominated and Price excelled in!!

  16. DMAN says:

Don Cherry says Gorges is already our unofficial captain!

  17. idle says:

    Well deserved.

Now to celebrate it how about he scores a Hat Trick on Sat night?

Sir, I don’t know you personally but I’m guessing you are a good person. I’d like to give you some advice, so that your days can go by much smoother….

Stop questionning or wondering what JM does. I’ve recently concluded that it is the biggest waste of energy any man can do to himself. I’d rather try lift the Staue of Liberty by myself. I’d rather try walking on water. I’d rather try finding ancient treasures burried beneath the oceans.

Figuring out JM is impossible, therefore a waste of time. It should be passed as a Federal law that any person seeking to figure out and/or understand Jacques Martin, be convicted of wasting all of humanity’s precious lifespan.

Great Job Josh, You’ve been my all around favourite player since you have joined the Habs! I also have a soft spot for O’Byrne and know that he will someday be as good as you!

  25. Nina76 says:

Congrats Josh I wish that your team mates had the same heart & guts that you have & the will to play for 60min & have a big heart like you have, you play to WIN can you teach the rest of them?

  26. DieHardCareyFan31 says:

Good job Gorgy, you really deserved it! you played amazing this season and showd so much heart, you talk like a captain in the dressing room and you are a real leader, keep it up Gorgy, you’re amazing! <3

  27. Raster says:

Congrats to Josh. He is a warrior.

What took JM soo long to put Cammy on the line with Gio and Gommer? It was late in the second period against Carolina and you could see we were going nowhere, just like the last few games. Did you see that line fly after that?  I think it’s elementary to juggle lines when nothings working to try and stimulate the players. Geese we can’t even get someone to fight to try to get something going. Boucher should be assistant coach next year. Maybe he could stimulate JM.

BTW lets stick it to the leafs on Saturday.

Let’s sing O’Canada all night to Burke and Wilson when we play the leafs on Saturday, It will give them goose bumps and bring back good memories of the olympics. The best part is leaf fans can’t boo.

I would like to know who among the media gave Roman Hamrlik 19 points?

  30. Sakus Evil Twin says:

    Well deserved indeed…

Question: Does anyone know when the playoffs actually face off next week? Wednesday/Thursday?

    Thanks

Hey – I just had a new kid… does that mean I need ANOTHER brick?

  31. ManApart says:

Price fans LOL. At least they can remember back to when things were good.

  32. Natrous says:

Just think of the number 97.9 (%). The only way we miss the playoffs is if NYR beat the Flyers twice in OT, and the Bruins get a point in one of two games, assuming we cave to the Leafs.

  33. Mr.Hazard says:

Correction: the NYR only have to beat the Flyers ONCE in OT (and win the other one, it doesn’t matter how).

  34. Instant Karma says:

as has been said many times before, if the Flyers get atleast one loser point (lose in OT or Shootout) they will move ahead of us

  35. habs fan from stonyplain says:

thnx a ton just looked at the standings, and it worries the crap out of me about saturday against the leafs, this is 2007 all over again

  36. JonoPEI says:

They both go to Yahoo Mail login screens for me.

    Likewise

  38. SeriousFan09 says:

    You deserved it Josh!

Lapierre last year’s winner, talk about a fall from grace…

  39. rut1212 says:

Well deserved, happy to hear it!

  40. Big Bird says:

Say what you will about Bob Gainey but the Craig Rivet for Josh Gorges and 1st R pick (Max Pacioretty) was a good trade.  This kid has the heart of a lion.

  41. Xtrahabsfan says:

Congrates Josh now work on a point shot!  SIZE DOES MATTER AFTER ALL,EH! Note to Molson boy’s  get much bigger players next season (Artukin would be a start!) or take your beer and SHOVE -IT!

  42. Taipei 101 says:

Josh Gorges takes over from Saku Koivu in the ‘heart’ of the Canadiens.  Unfortunately, like Koivu, Gorges must surely know that ‘heart’ isn’t contagious.

Speaking of heart, tomorrow night will be one of the following:

    a) Heart-warming

    b) Heart-wrenching

I know what I think is going to happen…

  43. avatar_58 says:

Mark of a leader I’d say. Never a game where he isn’t at least giving it his all.

  44. Storm Man says:

    Very well done Josh

  45. hab lifer says:

did he get the trophy for coughing up the puck so much?

  46. Mikey_39 says:

WHAT!? Gorges has been solid on defence.  There’s no question that he deserves this.  And it couldn’t have been given to a player with more heart. I can count the number of bad games he’s played on one hand.  How many other canadiens players can you say the same for?

  47. habs fan from stonyplain says:

fellow hab fans is there a way for us to miss the playoffs with the flyers and rangers playing donn’t they cancel each other out, please help me with this

  48. Ian Cobb says:

    click on both!
