In an an exclusive interview with Dave Stubbs, Scott Gomez talks about the drought … and the team.
“… we want to win games. We want to make it interesting, at least. There’s too much pride in this room. To not be in the playoffs in Montreal, especially for the guys who have experienced it here, is just mind-boggling. To be in this city during the playoffs is unbelievable.”
• Pat Hickey: Busy preseason hurt Habs
• Mike Boone: Playoff pre-sale unlikely
• Pierre Ladouceur’s weekly report card

Me and my buddies ran into Gomez (with cammi and Metro) in a bar a couple of years back and I have to say, he’s a stand up guy. We were giving him shit and ribbing him for not making the US olympic team and he took it like a man. Actually said “how would you like it if somebody came into your work and told you how shit you were”…my response was “for 7M, I’d take it” which he is.
I hope we keep him, he’s a very good player and you can tell a great teamate which means a lot. Not his fault he’s making the big cash.
Heading to the game tonight, he’s burying 2.

Nice try Mrs. Gomez.
Yeah, Scotty is a great guy. I just loved the way he joked and laughed it up on the bench with Andrei Kostitsyn when Boston was beating the crap out of everyone.

“Hey Richard, two minutes for looking so good!”
As I recall, he was the only Hab who confronted Chara after the Pacioretty hit.
As I recall, Mrs. Gomez gave him a very stern talking to him indeed.
That’s great. Hope whoever is GM this summer goes out and gets a bunch of really nice guys you can chat up in a bar.
