Andrei Markov is finally off Injured Reserve.
The defenceman will be available for the Saturday night game in Vancouver.
His participation will be a game-time decision after Markov warms up with his teammates.
Randy Cunneyworth said he would dress seven defencemen if Markov is able to play. Markov’s minutes will be managed, dependent on how the Dman is feeling and the situations in the game.
Markov has not played since Nov. 13, 2010, when his surgically repaired right knee was re-injured in a collison with Eric Staal.
Markov was not available to the media after the Canadiens’ morning skate.
We were told he would talk after the game … if he plays.
A few Canucks were on the ice at 10:30 Vancouver time.
The Canadiens’ morning skate started 45 minutes later.
Fans were staking out the players entrance early.
Also, video from the Canucks room.
Only six players, including goaltenders Roberto Luongo and Schneider, skated.
“I’m not a big believer in Morning skates and never have been,” said Alain Vigneault. The Vancouver coach had most of his squad look at some video and talk about their game plan.
“With teams we don’t see a lot, we concentrate on our game and on what we have to do to be successful,” Vigneault said.
Henrik Sedin had his son in the room.

.
Makes sense. À bientôt!
Maybe we should join the room and see what’s going on…see u there
You’re right, Kimberly. I can access as well. Looks like Boone was doing the liveblog all along, we just couldn’t access it. Ok.
Was nice being part of this small intimate group here. Are we sticking together or moving to the main blog?
I can get in to the live blog now but I’m not gonna…,Markov is playing safe but I cringe every time he goes in a corner
Views on Markov game so far? I think he’s being used sparingly. The stretch pass and the poise are still there. Some confusion with Emelin on the Kesler goal, and little timing stuff I have noticed.
I think Gorges-Subban should continue to draw the assignment on best offensive line of the opposition, give Markov time to ease into things. So far so good
Real good game. Jim, CBC play-by-play with funny line. ‘This game has no business being this good’
Yeah no doubt. Were doing a pretty good job eh?
End of second period with shots at 22-17 in favor of vancouver

Why does it say i posted on dec 31 1969?
I wish i had turnovers to eat
Gomez too many turnovers and not the kind you eat
Deffinity
Gomez with turnovers after turnovers

Geoffrion with a good shot on Luongo, probably his best since joining the time
Geoffrion 1 on 1, blocked shot by lu, misses rebound
Another save save by Price

Staubitz having fun interacting with the Green Men around the penalty box
Staubitz doesnt throw a lot of punches, but the ones he does are worth it
I agree marky should be with emelin
We have a fighter folks
Staubitz and kassian fight, staubitz wins but barely
Kaberle with Markov isn’t a good pairing. I’d rather see Marky out there with Emelin like at the beginning
Markov saved a goal

Habs doing extremely well on face-offs so far: 60%. A rarity
