A note below for those who come in from Montreal’s West Island for Canadiens games, then are forced to leave on the latest weeknight commuter train at 9:15 p.m. or take the 10:30 pm departure on Saturdays – or worse, find their way to the sardine can 211 bus at Lionel-Groulx:
The Canadiens and Société de transport de Montréal are offering a shuttle bus service for West Island residents after all Habs games played at the Bell Centre. The idea is to give commuter-train users a way to leave their car at home and be able to get back home somewhat conveniently.
Starting Oct. 15, and on every game night, buses will leave from St. Antoine St. W., next to Jean-D’Estrées St., 15 minutes after the final siren and head out to the West Island, making just three stops:
• Dorval bus terminus;
• Pointe Claire train station (211-221 bus stop);
• Fairview terminus (200 bus stop).
The cost will be a valid STM fare or single cash fare ($2.75 full fare, $1.75 reduced fare, exact change only).
