Scott Gomez has the exact same number of goals in the 35 Habs games since February 5th as I have. He’s making close to $8mill more per year from the team than me though and is on their second scoring unit/powerplay. I feel as though I am being vastly underpaid by the team and deserve far more ice time all things considered. I believe my +/- is also better than his in that span.

Lots of people in denial here. Last deciding game for Habs and Lee as the ref? Right. For once, Boone is right. This guy is bad news for us. Really bad news. With the exception of his effort to kill Ference, Pouliot did absolutely nothing on the ice during the first four games. Indeed, Pouliot made Scott Gomez appear useful–no small feat there! For whatever reason, Pouliot has decided to play himself off Montreal and possibly right out of the NHL.
Looking for a miracle? It will have to come from Gionta and Gomez if this team is to prevail.

It’s like he’s barely been on the ice… and guess what, he’s barely been on the ice. He didn’t play in games 4 and 5, and had a half dozen minutes if that in game 3. All told, 18 minutes of playoffs. That’s not to say he should play tonight, but it just seems a bit unfair to slag him for his performance so far.

If Gomez is involved in anything remotely approaching a miracle tonight or back in Boston he will have to change his name to Lazarus because it will truly be a miracle.
BTW, a colleague of mine who is a HUGE Beaner fan does not deny that they are deliberating keeping the ice soft in Boston to slow us down. He didn’t even try to argue it.

If Habs are eliminated tonight or tomorrow:
Martin & Gauthier will blame it on injuries;
Scott Gomez will blame it on the fact he’s underpaid;
PK will blame it on the fact he wasn’t used 60 minutes per night;
Patrice Brisebois and Georges Laraque will blame it on fact they weren’t on team.
However,should the Habs go on a premature summer vacation, we ALL know where the real blame should lie and who is entirely culpable: when “habsinsideout” was changed to “hockeyinsideout” at the behest of club management, the team’s fortunes immediately headed south.

It’s because playoff suspensions are, this yeaer anyway, typically less than what they get in the regular season. For once, I kind of agree with Colin Campbell, where he’s in situation where he can’t win with everyone. Usually I think he’s full of crap, but if one of our guys was suspended for 2 games for flipping the bird, we’d be irate. I don’t agree with suspension lengths going down come playoff time, but that’s what has happened, and so Cmapbell was consistent here.
Now that I’m done defending that asshole, I’m gonna go rinse my mouth out with bleach.

Just my opinion, but flipping the bird is much less coarse/offensive than the simulated beej deal that Wiz did.
