A 30-second time lapse video of McMahon Stadium’s outdoor rink taking shape for Sunday’s Canadiens-Calgary Flames Heritage Classic game.
I like the way Soobie plays, but I’m a little worried about him. I’m worried that one of these pathetic douche’s like Richards, or name any player on the Bruins, is gonna take a run at him and he’s gonna get cheap-shotted and hurt.
Hockey is just as much psychological as it is physical …. Subban’s doing a f-ckin AMAZING job … and bringing a certain je ne sais quoi to the game that we have not seen for a little while in Montreal …
I would not change him one bit! Screw Don Cherry, Mike Richards, and the Toronto sports media …
Remember that jealousy is a form of flattery …
You know what’s even more disturbing? That NOBODY is talking about Schenn’s hit on Pacioretty. I’m willing to bet all the money in the world that if it was Subban that made the hit, that it’ll be all over the news and everyone would be talking s**t about him.
They’re jealous, envious, begrudging, coveting…you name it. Hey, everybody wants an exciting sparkplug like this guy on their team and we’ve got him.
disrespecting “their culture” opf “us people” like the racist richards of the flyers said after hearing a 2 iq flunkie old old old minor league hockey failure do the mouth cherry start this crap – RACISM! tell me subban is even within 2000 players of being the most disgusting hockey player ever on the ice? but he attracts haters from every team even from players who never played against him. have you heard and player say cooke or those ilses or pens or bruins “dont respect US people” PURE OUTRIGHT RACISM! He is better than them and they are scared he will attract others to play this game BETTER THAN T5HEM just like football!
wtf “what would you say to PK to calm him down” on OTR…..
I don’t get fans of other teams. Why on earth would we WANT PK to calm down? I enjoy his rambunctious attitude and ability to get under everyone’s skin. The only ones complaining are fans of other teams and enemy players. Where is the problem exactly?
right now ———– http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=353895
versteeg’s got a cup ring, is a grinder and suits philly’s style. atm ak is worth at best 2nd rounder
** Buck Fruins **
Yep. It’s going to have to be AK and Webber or AK and someone very good from the minors if we want anything like a Chris Neil
i think a 1 and a 3 for a 20 at best goal scorer is a high price to pay. but i guess it tells you the market rates. and what it might cost the habs to bring a good player in – i mean as a measuring stick?
So if Versteeg is worth a 1st/3rd what is AK46 worth?
a 1st and a 3rd. hopefully a higher up 1st though.
When I mean get it done, I meant it. Will Max, Leblanc or Tinordi be better than Stewart. Maybe, maybe not. I doubt it though. I make that trade and I don’t regret it. The top six need to be tough to play against. Stewart makes them really tough to play against.
personnally i wouldnt mind losong tinordi or leblanc but not maxpac
was thinking the exact samething, had subban done that it would be headline on tsn, sportsnet. you wuld get don cherry going on it for the whole coach’s corner, pierre mcguire would lose his voice after screaming out PKs name in anger. people really do hate PK
theres no way we get chris stewart unless we give em the like of pax, leblanc, tinordi or maybe even subbanz
His brother Anthony from the Thrashers is a very solid player as well. Tough as nails and can put the puck in the net too.
Chris Stewart is the only player we need. Get it done PG.
switch joel ward with martin erat
Love this idea, LOVE it.
Talking about trades.
The Habs scouts and assistant GM are in Nashville to scout some players. here is the deal I would make today. AK46 to join his brother for Joel Ward, and the rights to Alexander Radulov, who has declined to play in Nashville, but may want to return to Quebec if given a second chance.
Make it conditional. If he doesn’t come back to play, that’s okay, good chance to take. If he does, Nashville gets a 3rd rounder.
What are you smoking?
pfft i hope they never pull that trigger
So in other words, AK stays
About right, maybe slightly less though, AK is an RFA, Versteeg has another year and then is still an RFA.
Well, no I didn’t because I haven’t seen evidence of that.
You also forgot to mention, along with all those words, non-accomadating, closed minded, poor white trashy.
“1st place and 3rd in the east”
put down the bottle
tomorrow is the next meeting after the sabres injured all those habs playing even dirtier than the bruins!
and a win tomorrow coupled with a Bruins loss puts them in 1st place and 3rd in the east.
Been a Habs fan since I was in 2nd grade and sat behind Patrick Roy at the Aud.
Number Five is alive.
Washington lost 3-2 to Phoenix tonight so that puts the habs in 5th place.
To you from failing hands we throw the torch, be yours to hold it high.
pre game drinks for those attending the heritage classic!
“Shutouts are really more of a team stat” – Carey Price
When will everyone start learning that scoring goals and personal stats isn’t everything in hockey. It’s about the team play and what a player brings to the team. If he is the best on the team in a checking role, he won’t have that many goals to show for, but will be an integral part of the team that gets the W… You can’t measure a players worth to the team by his personal stats. That’s how you build a team, by making sure all roles are filled by players who can play them…
A good example of this is Jeff Halpern, he doesn’t score often, but is integral to our team in the faceoff circle and in the defensive aspect of the game.
