I’ve seen and read about 50 predictions for all the matchups in this years playoffs. Not one “expert” or “insider” has picked the Habs to beat the Caps. I repeat, not one. Yet the Philladelphia Flyers, who are facing arguably the best goaltender in the history of the NHL, the best defensive system in the league, and snipers like Parise/Kovalchuk/Elias, have been picked by many to beat the Devils.
Alot of the “experts” are 50-50 for the NJ-PHI series. Are they serious? The Flyers have Brian “orange traffic cone” Boucher in nets, and are supposed to beat the Devils? Really?, ok……..
The Habs have 2 more than capable goalers, yet stand no chance. PUH-LEEZ

Go Habs! This is the time to be firing on all cylinders. You have to wipe the smug smiles off McSplooge and all the other Hab-haters.

Hockey Inside/Out encourages lively debate, but there is a zero-tolerance policy regarding racism, profanity and behaviour that we deem to be offensive.
We will, without warning, ban those who do not abide by this simple rule, so as to maximize the enjoyment of readers and participants of both sexes and all ages.
Halak is the classical goalie who play great in little games, and small in big games.
Giants will fall.
Hi Kevin,
Is there a link to download all the playoff media guides for the team in PDF format?
We’ve had them available in previous years.
Thanks.

I agree except for the fact that the Flyers just owned the Devils in the regular season: 5-1-0.
And Marty and co. haven’t won a playoff series since the lockout.
You guys know what the funniest thing is?

Does anyone know if the MTL games are going to be streamed on TSN.ca or just televised?
That means absolutely nothing…
Teams travel, play back to back games, have key injuries, etc…So many things can influence any game in the regular season..
Also, the SJ Sharks own everybody, every year in the regular season. We all know how that plays out come the playofss.

Why is the Eastern conference on the western side of the grid, and the Western conference on the eastern side?
why on earth… ask the coaches how they feel about that one.
Get this: Michael Farber is suggesting that the shootout should be implemented in the post-season. Thank God he doesn’t run the league. Comments?

No way! Playing ’till somebody scores can be rough sometimes, but that’s what the playoffs are all about…separating the boys from the men!
Talk about a tough schedule both for the east and the west!
Just one important point for newbies: NHL playoffs are not bracketed in the proper sense
Why didn’t the Habs make a new wallpaper? They could (should) have used the April calendar with Halak on it (http://cdn.nhl.com/canadiens/v2/ext/wallpaper/Wallpaper_Cal_avril_10_1024.jpg is what I’m talking about)
Shoulda put the final at the top…
