  1. Danno says:

    Kovalchuk signing close?

Ko”Hey Richard, two minutes for looking so good!”

  2. punkster says:

Back off Paul. You’re interfering with our inalienable right to continue harping on the same subjects over and over and over.

Next up: Was Breeze a top 6 D or was he a pretender?

  3. puck face says:

funny how people don’t get it and keep talking about Halak like he’s still a hab. i wonder if during the season this site will turn into the montreal blues site.

  4. Habsrule1 says:

    Hey guys,

Can we PLEASE stop talking about the blues’ goalie? Carey Price has all the tools to be a great goalie, and if the playoffs were an indication, it seems he may be maturing right in front of our eyes. Let’s cheer him on and help him become one of the greatest ever!

  5. HabFanSince72 says:

It’s arrogant to let Boucher take advantage of a great opportunity?

  6. Clay4bc says:

Do me a favour and stop the childishness. Tom made a point, which I countered. Now you jump in and try to belittle the conversation with your innane comments. Say something intelligent or say nothing at all.

“This has to be the mother of all brain-dead decisions.” Red Fisher regarding the Halak trade.

  7. Danno says:

I thought it was going to be a slow news day, but I was wrong.

And now the moment has finally arrived.

The big news story we’ve all been waiting for.

    Here it is.

“Hey Richard, two minutes for looking so good!”

  8. forskis says:

Um..weren’t Luongo and Fleury taken in the Top-3 of their draft?  Suffice to say, Fleury has his Cup after almost being destroyed by Pittsburgh leaving him in the fire and it is hard to believe that Luongo is on his third team and still has not been to the Conference Finals…

“I am guilty of using elipses…”

  9. SeriousFan09 says:

You know what all Vezina winners and finalists say to each other these days when the Cup Finals are on? “Fore!”

Vezina trophies require a goalie putting in 65+, usually 70 games to get enough wins to merit consideration in the last few years, which means they’re completely burnt out for post-season play and they almost never clear the 2nd round. NJ has won fewer playoff series than MTL in the last 5 years and I don’t see that trend reversing with their new composition.

Trap hockey has inflated Brodeur’s stats for years as well, Scott Clemmensen looked great in NJ when Brodeur was injured in 08-09.

    - I shall always remember Captain Koivu.

  10. Exit716 says:

Boucher never should have been given the option to leave. That was just plain arrogance and stupidity on the part of Gauthier and Molson.

Enjoy next season with dull old Jacques and his “system” of getting hemmed in their own zone and sitting back on a one goal deficit.

Good thing he’s got a super long contract to boot too.

  11. Danno says:

    Tis but a scratch

“Hey Richard, two minutes for looking so good!”

  12. Mark C says:

    It’s just a mere flesh wound…

  13. HabFanSince72 says:

An argument about the St.Louis Blues’ goalie’s pads?

  14. Clay4bc says:

Yeah, yeah…try typing with a baby in your arms…a guy gets distracted. The point remains, though. I don’t see you challenging it.

“This has to be the mother of all brain-dead decisions.” Red Fisher regarding the Halak trade.

  15. Bill J says:

    I kinda agree with Tom.

Perhaps a bit of a graphic visual to use…. lol

But yeah, we don’t need to hear about Boucher anymore.

Unless it’s about him falling on his face during practice or something.

Otherwise, something like that article just reminds us what “could have been”

Instead it’s “HAHAHAHA Suckers, Tampa Got their guy”

  16. Bill J says:

without Kovy2 signed. they had a few million left.

and Parise is a RFA who has yet to be signed.

Perhaps you are right, he can still manage to keep Parise…. But there WILL be a cost attributed to the signing of Kovy2.

  18. TripleX says:

At 500,000?  Of course he is.  That is the bargain of the NHL for a forward with his skill set.

Is Laps TWICE the player SK is or Pouliot THREE times the player?

“And I am really looking forward to watching Michael Cammalleri in the NHL. He had an awesome year in the AHL.” PIERRE McGUIRE

  19. HabFanSince72 says:

    Not mute.

  20. Mike Boone says:

    A “gaping wound”? Man, c’mon …

  21. TripleX says:

Nothing in the past history of Lou Lamoriello indicates he is incompetent.  Lou would never had made the deal if it meant losing his best young player.  If one word describes Lou it is conservative.

Your argument is based on something that is highly unlikely to occur.

  22. light_n_tasty says:

Psshh…Mike Leighton could have put up those numbers if he played for the Devils.  Hell, I would be a Vezina candidate every year if I played for that team.

  23. habs001 says:

the players people claim were ruined were way over evaluated by habs supporters…most these players were not that good to begin with….
