Dandenault feels right at home as a forward

Mathieu Dandenault started his career as a forward with the Detroit Red Wings and that is where Canadiens head coach Guy Carbonneau used Dandenault during Saturday’s final preseason game in Ottawa. Much like last season when Carbonneau used Mark Streit as a forward, Dandenault could find himself in that role this season, Pat Hicket writes.

“I felt comfortable out there,” Dandenault said. “I’ve played the position before and I had some fun out there. If that’s the way they want to use me, I’m okay with it. I’ll do whatever Guy wants me to do as long as I get the minutes I think I deserve.”
