The Gazette’s Pat Hickey writes that the Canadiens’ Mathieu Dandenault has come full circle while playing as a forward this season. Dandenault was a forward in junior and began his career as an attacker with the Detroit Red Wings. Scotty Bowman moved him to the blue line and that is where he flourished with Detroit.
Head coach Guy Carbonneau says he is happy with Dandenault’s line, which is completed by Steve Begin and Bryan Smolinkski. “The last two games, they’ve been excellent,” Carbonneau said. “Everyone knows how to play to the game and it all goes back to working, doing the right things at the right time.”
