Changing face of Canadiens’ pocket schedule

The Canadiens’ 2007-08 pocket schedule features star forward Christopher Higgins on the front. Habs Inside/Out friend Erle Schneidman, a memorabilia collector whose website canadiensmemorabilia.com is always worth a visit, sends along this year’s schedule for your perusal, and four more dating back to 1967-68.

Canadiens’ Christopher Higgins is featured on this year’s pocket calendar. Below (and the first two are full NHL schedules, not exclusively Canadiens games): 1967-68 has Jean Béliveau scoring on Detroit goalie Roger Crozier (surely you recognize Crozier’s haircut?); 1977-78 features goalie Ken Dryden and a couple of anonymous teammates (though one looks a lot like Serge Savard) against two pseudo Buffalo Sabres; 1987-88 has Mats Naslund crowding the Winnipeg Jets goal (and horrors, the schedule includes Quebec Nordiques games!); and 1997-98 illustrates the previous season’s Molson Cup winner, Mark Recchi.
