Canadiens of yesterday in Legends Classic

NHL players of the distant and recent past teamed up with and against each other this afternoon at the Air Canada Centre in the Legends Classic, a fundraiser that’s part of the Hockey Hall of Fame induction festivities.

    Funny how people age . . .

Williams looks like your poor old uncle, who just can’t catch a break since Mae left . . .

Salming looks like he should be selling ElLderly BOwflex (he can call it Elbow), on a late night infomercial . . .

And poor old Stevie Shutt bears a striking resemblance to Jimmy Chan, who proudly makes the best Won Ton Soup, just down the street from me. . .

And what fantastic hockey players all three were!

  2. Chuck says:

I had the extreme pleasure of watching one of the NHL oldtimer tour games in Hamilton last year. Seeing Steve Shutt, Guy Lafleur, and Marcel Dionne work their magic on the same freakin’ line was worth the price of admission, and then some!

By the way, Salming looks not unlike The Who’s Roger Daltry with shorter hair.

“Vote Saku for All-Star… or little Timmy gets it!!!”

  3. HigginsIsABeast says:

Didn’t know Salming had his own hockey company.
