Third-period goals by Tyler Seguin and Chris Clark gave the Bruins a 2-1 win over the Canadiens on Monday, 24 hours after a 7-3 Bruins win in Halifax.
The Canadiens had grabbed a 1-0 lead in the second period when Michael Cammalleri scored on Tuukka Rask with less than five minutes to play in the frame.
Carey Price played the whole game, making 30 stops on 32 shots.

Well. They are potential future lines. But I didn’t include Desharnais, Eller, or Pacioretty because they already garduated. Oddly enough that would make a pretty good line. But the point was that I was tweaking in advance with the prospects. I made those line combos among those players because they have yet to play a regular season game as a Hab.
It was all in the name of gratuitous tweaking. It’s bad. I know. I need help.

I keep reading posts about how people would never like a player like Marchand or Lucic on their team. I hate them both cuz of the way they play for Boston. However, I think that they are a product of the neanderthal Boston system. That system encourages players to be dirty. I think that these kinds of players would be completely different if they were on a team that encourages respect and doesn’t tolerate dirty play. Just imagine Marchand or Lucic in a Habs uniform…playing for a coach that doesn’t preach headhunting and dirty play.

Can someone explain what grounds the linesmen have to throw players out of the face-off circle? Again, it seems like we lead the league in that stat. From my admittedly inexpert viewpoint, I don’t see that our players are cheating any more than the opposing players.
I swear i saw a hab get thrown out a few minutes ago before he even got in the circle!

Speaking of height noticed a picture on HabsTV of Gallagher and Gionta being interviewed. The kid is actually a couple inches taller then le capitaine.
Thats like saying “I’m taller than Danny Devito”.
Gallagher plays much bigger than he is. Unlike, and it pains me to say, Plekanec who plays smaller.
That’s not true at all. Pleks is constantly throwing the shoulder into opposing d-men when going into the corner after a puck. He doesn’t throw a lot of huge hits, but he doesn’t play smaller than his 5’11″ frame says he should.

Plex’ game is not a physical one. He’s one of the least physical forwards in the Habs line-up.

You gotta know that JM just loves the preseason cuz he has all these bodies to work with which gives him ample opportunity to produce endless combinations. No wonder the reluctance shown in cutting players. All the fun would be gone.
And the losses, why that’s a bonus. It shows this team has to play it tight to the vest if it ever hopes to win. Of course, the preseason system is slightly different from the season system because there are new cogs to fit in and they don’t always mesh.
Only when all the regulars are in the lineup will we begin to find out if offence will remain a matter of last resort in JM’s scheme of things. Or maybe he’ll have an epiphany and make it Job 1.
I prefer Spacely Sprockets to Cogswell Cogs.
