The Canadiens’ AHL affiliate Hamilton Bulldogs will play host to the Binghamton Senators at the Bell Centre for the second time in team history, facing off on Sunday, Nov. 30 at 5 p.m.
The Bulldogs’ roster features many of the Canadiens’ top-rated prospects just a few strides away from the NHL, including team captain Kyle Chipchura and the team leading scorer, forward Matt D’Agostini.
Hamilton started the 2008-09 campaign with an influx of new talent, including forwards Ben Maxwell, David Desharnais, Yanick Lehoux and Max Pacioretty, defenseman Yannick Weber and goaltender Marc Denis, each contributing to the Bulldogs’ early success this season.
The last Bulldogs game held at the Bell Centre was on March 18, 2007, against the Syracuse Crunch, weeks before the team earned its first-ever Calder Cup. The Canadiens’ current roster features five Bulldogs Alumni from the 2006-07 championship edition: netminders Carey Price and Jaroslav Halak, defenceman Ryan O’Byrne, as well as forwards Maxim Lapierre and Andrei Kostitsyn.
The Bulldogs are third in Western Conference rankings with an 11-4-1 record.
