Peter Budaj will be in goal for the Canadiens when they take on the Boston Bruins Wednesday night at the Bell Centre (7:30 p.m., TSN-HABS, RDS, TSN Radio 690).
Carey Price took part in the morning skate in Brossard, but will miss his eighth straight game with a lower-body injury suffered at the Sochi Olympics. The Canadiens are 3-3-1 without Price in the lineup.
Defenceman Francis Bouillon will return to the Habs lineup and be paired with P.K. Subban, while Jarred Tinordi will play with Douglas Murray, and Andrei Markov will be with Alexei Emelin. Mike Weaver will be a healthy scratch on defence.
“I have full confidence that Francis Bouillon will be a strong presence for us,” coach Michel Therrien told reporters in Brossard after the morning skate. “He’s always had a great work ethic and attitude even when he is not playing, and he’s in good enough shape to handle a big workload.”
Forward Brandon Prust, who has recovered from an upper-body injury, also returns to the lineup, while George Parros, Dale Weise and Rene Bourque will be healthy scratches. Michael Bournival, who is still recovering from a concussion, took part in the morning skate wearing a non-contact jersey.
Here’s how the lines and defence pairings are expected to look against the Bruins:
We’ll have a new HI/O Show up on the site later this afternoon with Chris Nilan, Dave Stubbs and Stu Cowan focusing on the Bruins-Habs rivalry. Former Hab Nilan will let you know where on his body he has a Bruins tattoo.
