From Canadiens and Canucks practice today at Rogers Arena, in advance of tomorrow night’s game between Montreal and Vancouver:

Carey Price is confirmed in goal for the Habs.

Head coach Jacques Martin would not confirm published report yesterday that D Jaro Spacek is finished for the year. Treatment continues in Montreal, evaluations continue.

Lines were put through Martin’s Magical Mixmaster again as the coach tries to find a spark, any spark, in some guys. Today’s combos: Gomez between Gionta, Pacioretty; Desharnais between White and Pouliot; Plekanec between Cammalleri and Halpern; Eller between Kostitsyn and Moen. Defence pairings were Gill-Subban; Hamrlik-Wisniewski; Weber-Mara. D Picard and F Pyatt were the extras today.

    i am not cherry picking. most of his trades here were terrible. kovalev in 2004 was the best. it includes not knowing he’d lose hainsey on waivers by sending him to the minors when habs had no exemptions left. i am looking at the entire 8 year picture.

    Speaking of shots. We arrived 2 hours ago to our summer place. Here it’s even colder than in Turku. Almost -30 celsius. I think I need a vodkashot to start my circulation of blood. +15 celsius inside. Getting slowly warmer… TABARNAC!
