From the Canadiens dressing room this afternoon after a spirited midday practice, the final practice (thankfully) before the team gets down to business Friday in Columbus and Saturday in Toronto:
• Christopher Higgins on playing with Saku Koivu and Alex Tanguay, etc.;
• Mike Komisarek on slow starts after a long break (remember Anaheim?), etc.;
• Josh Gorges on being rassled WWE-style to the ice by Koivu, and on being off the hook for a rookie dinner that can’t be held without any rookies;
• Head coach Guy Carbonneau’s daily briefing in English and French.

…
Alright, I’ll say it: whatever happened to spelling “wrestled” with a W? and an R? And only one S?
I just heard the same thing on the radio Gillette wants to sell,he denies it.Balsillie’S name was mentioned.Where there is smoke there is a cigarette.If they try to move the Habs there will be a war in Montreal.This is the team that Toronto would like as there 2nd team Ha!Money talks!!!!!

Breaking news out of La Presse! The Canadiens are for sale!
According to an interview given by Jim Balsillie set to appear in tomorrow’s edition of La Presse, the Montreal Canadiens hockey club is up for sale. George Gillett vehemently denied the news, which then prompted Gary Bettman to echo and confirm Gillett’s denial.
I’ve personally been wondering lately, why George Gillett would not, indeed put his hockey team up for sale. Their value is sky high and with the value of the Canadian dollar settling back down, now would be the perfect peak opportunity to cash in on his investment. Remains to be seen whether Gillett is indeed in this thing for the glory and prestige associated to owning the Yankees of hockey, or for the cold hard cash. A businessman is a business man. Gillett has been down before, where he probably developed a very strong relationship with the bottom line.
But then again, this is Jim Balsillie we are talking about.

this schedule is stupid.
Gorges is hilarious!
No rookie dinner this year; at least O’Byrne’s safe!

if komisarek makes the all-star team, and everyone shoots in the penalty shot competition… I feel bad for him
I bet he scores!
