Audio: Calm before the playoff storm

Surprisingly, or not, there was precious little new on the Canadiens front today, head coach Guy Carbonneau putting his troops through another spirited practice as Thursday’s first game nears in the Eastern Conference quarterfinal against Boston.

On the injury front: Mike Komisarek continues to work toward a return to action, Francis Bouillon continues to nurse a still-sore ankle, Michael Ryder looked up to full speed and no sign of captain Saku Koivu, possibly being examined by team doctors as he rehabs his way back toward a return at least to practice.

Carbonneau didn’t speak to the media today, but will do so tomorrow. The Bruins are expected to arrive in Montreal Wednesday late afternoon, then take part in Thursday morning’s game-day skate with Game 1 scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

A little audio from the dressing room, post-practice:

Christopher Higgins
Higgins 2
Steve Bégin
Roman Hamrlik
Ryan O’Byrne (begins speaking about tentatively returning Bruin Patrice Bergeron)
