It’s not that I want to do it, but dammit the other guys are doing it!

  6. showey47 says:

    LMFAO,what have we become?

  7. Tis Himself says:

It time to go with a full deployment of “Operation Twig Snapper” tomorrow night!

  8. showey47 says:

No chance we get the free ride the caps got with the goalie running. If the officiating stays consistent,we would actually get penalized for running the goalie then the caps will score on the PP with knuble running over our goalie and somebody else tapping it into an empty net.

  9. smiler2729 says:

    So what. The Habs lost.

  10. KC64 says:

If they are going to let goaltender interference go unpunished, then let’s crash Varlamov, bring it on!

  11. Willy the bum says:

So it was a good night for Andrei after all…

Well, more pleased than the rest of his teammates.

Hope someone will score a hat trick and win tomorrow night.

  12. SeriousFan09 says:

    That’s the Rocket for ya.

That and the Toronto 5-1 win, all 5 goals were his so it’s a wee bit more than just a hat trick.

    – I shall always remember Captain Koivu.

  13. Mr.Hazard says:

Do  I count that right? Seven playoff hat tricks for Maurice?

    “love cannot drown truth, Nefertiti”

  14. phillyhab says:

Should be on the goal highlight, right?

  15. yathehabsrule says:

Hey does anyone have a video clip, or link to the TSN panel where Pang
showed Knuble’s butt in Halak’s face and Corvo pulling him put of the

Ya! The Habs Rule! now on Twitter!

  16. SlovakHab says:

Awesome. I’d give up all 3 of his goals for a winning cause. That’s all that matters.

I have never been so upset by a hockey game before. Ever.

  17. coachdoug says:

Thanks for brightening my day with that stat Mike…

The only way it improves is if Milbury gets hit with a puck trying to be Pierre at the Joe…Milbury between the benches is cruel and unusual punishment to the viewers and the teams

“Save us Turtleneck Man…We need you now more than ever!”

  18. salshabs says:

    Too bad it was wasted

  19. avatar_58 says:

Andrei’s first goal was a thing of a beauty – PING. I mean WOW. Where did that come from?

  20. Bob Barker says:

yeah when he’s on his game he can be dominant. He’s got such a wicked shot. I loved that sound.

  21. jew4jah says:

we are truly in the upper levels of mediocrity.

but i still love it when they try.  like both games so far this series.  can’t wait for monday.

  22. Chuck says:

Well, this makes me feel a lot better!  :) This goes down in history with Ryder’s wasted hat trick in the final game of ’07 against the Laffs.

Cheer for the crest on the front of the jersey, not the name on the back.

  23. K-hab25 says:

Didn’t they take one of those away and give it somebody else. I believe it deflected in, so it was actually 2 goals and an assist, I think.

  24. PattyBoy31 says:

I don’t even want to think about it. I was so happy and hopeful when we were up 4-1. What a 180, i just felt so cheated.

  25. Steve C. says:

i was trying to figure out how i felt. “ok at least it’s 1-1…but it was 4-1…”.  cheated is good because the Habs were playing good hockey, and I thought deserved better.  As much as I’m all for smash-mouth hockey, blatant rule-breakers were not caught and that’s how i feel…cheated.  if a ref calls a bad game but your team sucks or can’t adjust, tough.  but in this case i thought they played great despite the greatness of their opponent, but a few non-calls prevented the Habs from getting the opportunities they needed to finish out the game with a win.

however, some may say that with Washington’s momentum and how well the played later in the game, they would have won the game either way.

  26. rogieshan says:

I think AK is motivated by his rivalry – personal or national – with Ovechkin to be the better player.

  27. The M says:

HAHAHA that is funny, spewed coffee all over my desk

  28. MikeL says:

Bertuzzi just did exactly what Ovechkin did last night. The difference? It’s Bertuzzi, not Ovechkin, and the ref blows it dead.

  29. phillyhab says:

Don’t laugh — I guarantee if we built our team and system around the Kostitsyn’s style they’d be stars — maybe not Ovechkin’s, but 70-80 point guys.

  30. MikeL says:

I think you’re thinking of the “comeback” against the Rangers. Ryder appeared to score 3, but one of them went off of Mark Streit.
